wreath

The paper chain decoration that almost everyone has made at least once! Fold origami paper, cut it into thin strips, roll each strip into a loop and glue the ends together.
From the second loop onward, thread the strip through the previous loop before gluing.
Repeat this process until it reaches your desired length, and in no time your paper chain is complete! It’s very simple, but seeing a paper chain often brings to mind exciting events like birthdays or parties for many people.
To get ready for a fun Christmas, try making a little at a time during craft time.
Snowflakes

Why not make hanging snowflake decorations to bring a wintry atmosphere to your facility? Snowflakes made from origami may look intricate and delicate, but they’re surprisingly easy to create.
All you do is fold the paper into a triangle, make a few cuts, and keep folding.
Older adults can enjoy the activity at their own pace, too.
Once the finished snowflakes are displayed, the space takes on a warm, wintry feel.
If everyone works together, the conversation will flow and it’s sure to be a fun time.
Let’s create beautiful pieces and welcome a memorable Christmas!
Christmas tree
Why not make a Christmas tree out of origami this holiday season? Use green origami paper to form the tree, then decorate it with colorful paper ornaments to create a very cute tree.
It’s an activity that older adults can also enjoy, so please give it a try.
The fine work helps with finger dexterity, and displaying the finished tree creates a lovely atmosphere.
Making them together with others will make the time even more enjoyable.
Let’s welcome a heartwarming Christmas with a handmade tree!

Santa ornament
This is a charming Santa Claus ornament with a pointy hat.
Place the compass point at the corner of the red origami paper, draw a fan-shaped arc, and cut it out using pinking shears or similar scissors.
Prepare white origami for the beard and beige origami for the face by cutting each into its respective parts, then attach them to the red origami base.
Stick a thread onto the red origami for hanging, roll it into a cone shape, and glue it together to complete your Santa.
If you add cotton to the beard area, it will have a three-dimensional look and turn out even more delightful!
Simple flower ornament

This is a flower ornament that looks glamorous but is very easy to make! Fold an origami sheet so that each side is divided into eighths, then cut along the creases to make eight strips.
Stack the eight strips, staple them in the center, and place them with the white side facing up.
Apply glue to both ends and stick them down toward the center.
For the second strip, apply glue in the same way and slide it under the center of the first strip before sticking it down.
Make a total of 16 loops, then shape them into a flower at the end, and your floral decoration is complete.
It’s an idea you can use not only for Christmas, so give it a try!
Honeycomb ball with two sheets of origami paper

This is a honeycomb ball with a cute round silhouette, perfect as an ornament.
First, fold a sheet of origami paper into four equal squares, then use a paper cup or a compass to draw a circle and cut it out.
Do the same with another sheet of origami to make eight circles in total.
Fold each circle in half and apply a small amount of glue near the center.
Then add a little glue to the top and bottom of each half circle, and attach all eight folded pieces together.
Adhere your preferred thread along the crease, let it dry, then open it up and glue the outer surfaces together.
Try using not only colored origami paper but also various patterned ones for fun.
Rhombus-shaped ornament

This is a three-dimensional rhombus origami decoration with a diamond-like shape that catches the eye.
You can make it in Christmas colors like green and red, or choose sparkling colors like gold and silver.
First fold the origami paper into a triangle, then fold it into a triangle again.
Open the pocketed part, do the same on the other side, then open-fold all four sections.
The key is to fold two parts so that each one shows either the white side or the colored surface.
Connect the two pieces, then string several together with a needle and thread to complete a hanging decoration.
Using your fingers dexterously can also provide brain-training benefits! And of course, it’s great as a tree ornament too.
