Christmas Tree Game

Divide a Christmas tree–shaped frame into five sections to create spaces worth 10 to 50 points.
Line the inside with duct tape so the rolled balls will stick, and use green tape on the outside to give it a Christmas tree look.
Since the higher-point spaces are narrower, gauging the strength when throwing the ball is challenging, making it an exciting game.
reindeerNEW!

You can make reindeer and Santa decorations using Yakult containers.
To remove the dent in the middle of the container after peeling off the label, wrap felt around it twice, then stick double-sided tape on the outside of the container and wrap yarn tightly around it without gaps.
Attach a bell to a felt strip for the collar and fix it to the reindeer’s neck area with double-sided tape.
Make the antlers from felt reinforced with a cardboard template, and attach them.
For the ears, use felt without a backing and attach them with a hot glue gun.
For the eyes, use stick-on pearl embellishments colored with a black marker.
Finish by attaching a red pom-pom for the nose.
Glowing SnowmanNEW!

How about making a fun Christmas-time snowman using just empty Yakult bottles, round stickers, and decoration lights from the 100-yen shop? Peel off the outer label from the empty Yakult bottle, then use round stickers to create the snowman’s features.
For the nose, cut a large round sticker into a triangle—it works great.
Put the decoration light inside, and you’re done.
Even if it’s not a snowman, you can add any pattern to the empty bottle and pop in a decoration light to use it as various kinds of ornaments.
Christmas Quiz

There are lots of things we think we know but don’t actually know, right? Gathering trivia about Christmas and holding a quiz competition with everyone might really liven things up! Why is Santa Claus’s outfit red? Customs we take for granted might actually have surprising origins…
Hearing these facts can be startling, and learning them in a way that makes sense is exciting—it sparks our intellectual curiosity! Let’s boost the fun with a Christmas quiz competition full of tidbits you’ll be itching to tell someone about.
Discost Santa

Draw a picture of Santa Claus on a slightly stiff board or cardboard, and cut out Santa’s mouth.
Discs are ideal, but balls can be used as a substitute.
Set a throwing line according to the difficulty level, then aim for Santa’s mouth and flick the disc—whoosh! It looks simple but is surprisingly challenging and addictive.
Enjoy it together with everyone at Christmas parties and the like!
Word Search Game

Preparation is complete once you’ve made a sheet with multiple Christmas-related pictures and a set of cards, each with the name of one picture written in hiragana.
The game starts with the hiragana cards shuffled.
The goal is to quickly find the written picture names among the mixed hiragana cards.
If playing solo, a clear rule is to time how long it takes to complete everything and compete based on the best time.
It can also be played simultaneously by two people: assign point values to each picture, mark the pictures for which you’ve collected the hiragana, and compare points at the end.
Having your opponent right in front of you should make the game all the more exciting.
Balloon Santa Launch Game

Some seniors may be feeling excited by the Christmas decorations brightening up the facility.
Many are likely looking forward to the Christmas party as well.
Here’s a game that’s sure to liven things up: a competition where you toss balloon Santas into baskets to score points.
Prepare several baskets and assign each one a point value.
Throw balloons decorated with Santa illustrations and ornaments into the baskets.
Since the balloons can be thrown while seated, it’s easier for those who have difficulty standing or moving their bodies to participate.
It’s even more exciting as a team competition.
