Slipper Toss

Let’s all try the slipper-toss game! Put a slipper on one foot and fling it; you score points if it lands in the basket 3 meters away.
Compete by seeing how many you can get in.
If 3 meters feels a bit far and difficult, you can shorten the distance.
Stand to toss the slipper, and if you’re uneasy about standing on one foot, have someone assist you.
Pétanque

Petanque is a game where you throw balls toward a target ball called the “cochonnet” and compete to see whose ball lands closest to it.
It may be easiest to picture it as a simplified, ball-based version of curling.
The video also teaches how to hold and throw the ball, but for now, just try throwing toward the cochonnet and have fun.
You can substitute rubber balls and even enjoy it indoors.
Dexterity training using a newspaper

This is a recreational activity where you fold a newspaper into small pieces.
It may look easy at first glance, but folding a large newspaper neatly and finely requires careful work.
It also helps practice fine motor skills and is effective for dementia prevention.
At the end, use the strength of your fingertips and arms to make it small enough to fit in your hand.
Let’s compete in speed and neatness.
rod soccer

A universal sport that can be enjoyed by everyone from children to seniors.
This stick soccer is like the quintessential universal sport.
Team members sit in a single row on chairs, facing the opposing team.
While facing each other, players hold sticks and use them to move the soccer ball toward their own goal while defending to block the opposing team’s attempts to score.
The sticks are made of soft material, so it’s safe.
Stick topple game

Didn’t you play this as a kid with sandbox or beach sand? It’s the stick-toppling game.
But instead of using sand, you pile beanbags on a table to make a mound and stick a rod in the center.
Players take turns removing one beanbag at a time, and the person who causes the rod to fall loses.
It starts off easy, but as the beanbags dwindle, the tension rises—making it an exciting game.
Balloon Tennis

Balloon tennis is a recreational activity where people sit in chairs across a table, each holding a handheld fan, and hit back incoming balloons.
As long as you have a fan and a balloon, it’s a “sport” you can enjoy with a large group while staying seated.
The balloon’s unpredictable trajectory makes it exciting to watch, too.
As long as you can move one hand you can join, and it gets really lively when played as a team competition.
Balloon display

It’s a simple game where you toss beanbags into a basket with balloons and try to knock the balloons out of the basket.
It seems to require some technique and looks fairly challenging, but since you can throw from close range, anyone can at least hit the target, so even participants who aren’t confident can enjoy it without feeling discouraged.
There’s also a strong element of luck, so you might see unexpected people knocking the balloons out of the basket.
