A soul-stirring, hard-hitting collaboration is here.
Okinawa-born rapper OZworld joins forces with fellow Okinawan-rooted Awich for a project unveiled in June 2025, opening the curtain on the EP “369 no.3.” The floating, psychedelic trap sound—like wandering into another dimension—is irresistibly immersive.
OZworld’s introspective lyrics intertwine with Awich’s razor-sharp flow, shaking the listener to the core.
This track fuses spiritual exploration with musical adventure, and it just might strike directly at the senses of anyone craving something new and stimulating.
DOGLANDPEOPLE 1

Released in December 2022, this track mixes a slightly eerie atmosphere with poetic lyrics.
It drew attention as the ending theme for episode 10 of the anime Chainsaw Man, arriving at a milestone moment as PEOPLE 1’s first anime theme song.
The structure is striking: rap-like verses give way to a chorus where the band ensemble brings a catchy lift, and the lyrics—linking physicality with inner emotion—hit straight to the heart.
Later included on the album “Hoshimeguri, Kimi ni Kinsei,” the song shines with lyrics and composition by Deu and arrangement by Hajime Taguchi.
Its cool world, balancing ambiguity and intensity, is perfect for listeners seeking refined music in everyday life or those moved by the synchronicity of animation and music.
We breathechilldspot

This is a chilldspot track that skillfully fuses elements of post-rock and emo.
It was released digitally in August 2024 and is also included on the EP “echowaves,” which came out in September.
The lyrics, penned for the first time by bassist Mr.
Kozaki, project a sense of self-affirmation toward one’s true, unembellished self.
Many listeners will likely resonate with its worldview, which explores one’s sense of purpose in contemporary society.
Paired with an emotionally rich and dynamic sound, it’s a song that strikes deep at the listener’s heart.
A must-hear that showcases the band’s musical growth, it also makes perfect background music for relaxing at home.

Sweet LoverKajihadeki

When you think of stylish music, many people might recall the Shibuya-kei sound that was popular in the 1990s.
With that in mind, I chose Hideki Kaji’s “Amai Koibito,” an artist who could be considered emblematic of Shibuya-kei.
Its chic, café- and city-evoking vibe and poppy groove may well epitomize the music scene of the 1990s.
ScrambleMONKEY MAJIK

With its distinctive lyrics and catchy melody, this track leaves a strong impression.
Created by MONKEY MAJIK, it was released as a digital single in July 2024 and also served as the lead single for the album “CIRCLES,” which came out the same month.
It’s a chill, swoon-worthy number whose title evokes chaotic situations and an uncertain future, yet the lyrics convey hope, courage, and love directed toward someone special.
If you’re looking for a more mature vibe, give it a listen.
The music video, filmed in Sendai, is a must-see as well.
tabooHasegawa Hakushi

An ambitious work by Hakushi Hasegawa, a trailblazer in electronic music.
Featured on the July 2024 album “Mahō Gakkō” (Magic School).
Its intricate rhythms and delicate melodies invite you into a mysterious world.
The lyrics, portraying the conflict between the inner self and the outside world, stir a curiosity for things best left untouched.
With experimental and diverse musicality, it offers listeners a fresh experience.
It’s no surprise they’ve earned high acclaim both in Japan and abroad, including an appearance at Porter Robinson’s online festival, Secret Sky.
A perfect track for anyone looking to open the door to new music.
