What kind of image do you have of magic?

Maybe you think you can’t do it because you’re not good with your hands, or that the preparation is a hassle—there may be all sorts of concerns.

But everything introduced in this article is simple and can be done by anyone once you purchase it.

So.

It’s content I particularly recommend for beginners in magic!

Magic with flowers: crowd-pleasing tricks for parties and performances (1–10)

wandflower

This magic trick entertains you with all sorts of changes using a single mysterious stick.

Shorter than the cane that magicians often carry, this stick is called a wand.

First, as if water were spurting from the tip of the wand, a silk scarf appears.

When you swiftly stroke the wand with the silk, the wand’s color changes to match the silk! Finally, drape the silk over the wand and, in an instant, a bouquet of flowers appears! From one ordinary-looking stick, you can enjoy three different magical effects.

bowing flower

bowing flower

A large, approximately 30 cm diameter, brilliantly vivid crimson flower that instantly catches the eye on stage.

Attach an invisible thread, and it will bend as if drawn to your hand, then suddenly stand up straight.

At the end, if you give a little bow, it bows along with you—becoming a delightful partner for your performance.

Make your expressions big and playful too—show surprise, laugh, and have fun with it.

Everyone is sure to be captivated by this cheerful, pantomime-style magic!

Rose of Illusion

[Magic / Conjuring] F5202 Phantom Rose
Rose of Illusion

It’s a mysterious rose magic trick where, even though you’ve plucked it, a flower keeps growing from the same stem again and again.

You hold a single rose in your hand and pick only the blossom, but no matter how many times you remove it, the flower wells up as if it were water.

After repeating this several times, a rose of a completely different color from the ones you’ve been plucking appears at the end! True to its name, “Illusory Rose,” it makes you feel as if you’re witnessing a mirage.

When performing this trick, doing it with speed gives it a cool look! The props are available for purchase in the online shop.

Locking Card to Rose

Locking Card to Rose

This is a mysterious magic trick using playing cards and a flower.

First, you hold several cards in your hand and throw them away one by one.

When you wave your hand over the last remaining card, it instantly transforms into a flower! It’s a great in-between trick to bridge from card magic to your next routine.

Even beginners can do it easily, so if you’re interested, search for Magic Express, an online shop that sells magic props.

By the way, there’s also a version where a matchbox appears instead of a flower, so be sure to check out both if you’re curious!

Flower to Streamer to Wand

This magic trick transforms a flower into various objects in an instant.

By simply tilting a single flower slightly, a silk handkerchief the same color as the flower or its stem appears.

As you straighten or twirl the silk, it instantly changes into a cane! Everything happens so fast that your eyes can’t keep up with what’s happening right in front of you.

That very speed creates a sense of wonder for the audience.

It’s highly recommended as an opener to grab attention at the start of a show! In online shops, you can find versions that come with a DVD explaining how to handle the cane along with the props, so even beginners can get started easily.

A painting of flowers becomes real

This is a magic trick where a drawing of a flower on paper turns into a real flower on the count of 1-2-3.

Anyone can easily do it with just paper, colored pencils, and a flower.

You might need good patter so the audience doesn’t notice the secret, though.

Also, be careful how you unfold the paper so you don’t mess it up.

Production flower three-bloom flower

Among flower-based magic tricks, a classic is making a flower appear out of nowhere.

No matter how many times you see a flower suddenly pop out of an empty silk handkerchief or a wand, it’s always surprising.

The versions sold in online shops range from ones where a single flower appears to ones where about three flowers appear at once.

This trick seems to require some creativity in presentation.

Although it looks simple, be sure to practice your hand movements thoroughly and perform carefully so the audience doesn’t catch the secret!
