Magic using flowers: tricks that liven up parties and performances

In this article, I’d like to introduce flower magic—something I especially want those of you who are unsure what to do for a performance or entertainment segment to check out.

What kind of image do you have of magic?

Maybe you think you can’t do it because you’re not good with your hands, or that the preparation is a hassle—there may be all sorts of concerns.

But everything introduced in this article is simple and can be done by anyone once you purchase it.

So.

It’s content I particularly recommend for beginners in magic!

Magic with flowers: crowd-pleasing tricks for parties and performances (21–30)

This magic trick is perfect for casual gatherings like farewell/welcome parties and year-end parties.

You take only the blossoms from a colorful bouquet and place them into a bag.

After removing all the flowers and putting them in, give the bag a little shake and—surprise!—the entire bag transforms into a large, floral-patterned scarf.

Next, drape the scarf over the now flowerless bouquet, and the flowers reappear on the bouquet.

As part of the presentation, while you’re lightly shaking the bag, you can take one flower back out to show that nothing has changed yet and that the flowers really are inside.

Also, be sure to show both sides of the scarf to prove that the flowers are no longer in the bag!

Magic where a flower disappears in an instant

Magic (sleight of hand): a flower vanishes in an instant (revealed)
Magic where a flower disappears in an instant

A magic trick where the flower you’re holding disappears in an instant is visually very striking, isn’t it? But it’s actually easy to recreate using a safety pin and an elastic cord.

The method is very simple: tie one end of the elastic to a safety pin and the other end to the flower.

Then attach the safety pin to the inside shoulder area of your jacket, thread the elastic through the sleeve, and put the jacket on—now you’re ready.

When you let go of the flower, the elastic pulls it up and hides it inside your sleeve.

Because the method is simple, practice showing it naturally so the audience doesn’t catch on.

In conclusion

Magic with flowers is great because it brightens up the atmosphere.

It also looks like something that would appeal to young children.

Now, for those of you about to try your hand at magic, make sure to practice while firmly grasping the basics—like guiding the audience’s gaze and how to move your hands!
