In this article, I’d like to introduce flower magic—something I especially want those of you who are unsure what to do for a performance or entertainment segment to check out.

What kind of image do you have of magic?

Maybe you think you can’t do it because you’re not good with your hands, or that the preparation is a hassle—there may be all sorts of concerns.

But everything introduced in this article is simple and can be done by anyone once you purchase it.

So.

It’s content I particularly recommend for beginners in magic!

Magic with Flowers: Party-Pleasing Tricks for Shows and Entertainment (11–20)

Bouquet from a paper bag

A folded paper bag—of course, since it’s folded, it’s completely flat.

You open that paper bag, say a little magic charm, and a bouquet comes out of the bag! That’s the trick.

The secret is very simple: there’s a sizable hole cut into the inside of the folded paper bag.

After the incantation, you pull the bouquet out through that hole—but where you hide the bouquet is the key.

Conceal it inside a slightly loose jacket or under a skirt, and leave just the end of the bouquet a little accessible so you can pull it out easily.

Wouldn’t this be perfect for occasions like farewell or welcome parties where you’re presenting flowers?

flowering

This is a mysterious magic trick using flower rings—wreaths made from many flowers.

There are three flower rings, all originally the same color.

You place them one by one into a mysterious bag, and pass a differently colored silk handkerchief through each one…

and amazingly, each ring changes to match the color of the silk! That alone is surprising, but it’s not over yet.

You put all three color-changed rings back into the bag and pass all the silks through as well, then take the rings out.

Nothing seems to have happened at this point, but when you toss the rings into the air, in the very next moment they all link together and transform into one large flower ring! It’s a dazzling and mysterious magic trick.

bouquet lei

bouquet lei

You’d be amazed if a pretty flower you were admiring suddenly turned into a stylish lei you can wear around your neck, right? That’s exactly the kind of chic, delightful magic this trick delivers.

From a bouquet with several flowers, you pluck one larger bloom and sniff its fragrance—then in an instant, it transforms into a flower lei! The lei is quite long, so once it’s made, anyone from kids to adults can wear it around their neck.

You can purchase this from Magic Express, an online shop that sells magic supplies.

With just one set you can perform it over and over, so give it a try as an opening bit for your magic show!

Walking Stick to 4 Flowers & Silk

It’s a magic routine often seen in magic shows, using a mysterious wand and flowers.

The moment you lift the wand slightly with both hands, it instantly transforms into four flowers and two silks! Where did the flowers and silks come from, and where did the wand go? It’s a trick full of mysteries.

It’s a classic, but no matter how many times you see it, you can’t help being captivated by the enchanting sight.

The key to performing this trick is to make it look beautiful.

By refining your hand movements and the way you hold the flowers, you can make the routine even more elegant and appealing!

Picot Series

This is a magic trick called the “Pikot Series,” where flowers pop into bloom at your fingertips.

A flower you were holding normally suddenly blooms on your fingertip when you toss it, or with just a wave of your hand, flowers appear on all your fingers—it’s a wonderfully mysterious effect.

When you tuck the flowers that popped onto your fingertips into your hand, they instantly transform into a bouquet with even more flowers than were on your fingers.

Then, if you mime plucking a flower from that bouquet in the air, even though you haven’t actually picked anything, a moment later a flower pops into bloom on your fingertip again! Why not add a quick Pikot flourish as an opener for your magic show or as a light interlude in the middle?

A cane turns into a bouquet

A classic flower magic trick.

A colorful wand suddenly turns into a bouquet.

The sense of speed—where it changes into flowers in an instant—is crucial.

It may be a standard trick, but when it’s performed right before your eyes, it’s surprisingly startling.

Once you learn how to do it, it’s an easy magic trick that even children can perform.
