Takoyaki

Takoyaki, the “soul food of Osaka.” It’s often said that in Osaka, every household owns at least one takoyaki maker. The creator of takoyaki is considered to be Mr. Tokukichi Endo of Aizuya. The fillings evolved before arriving at octopus—starting with konnyaku, then beef, and finally octopus.
