The ending theme of Only Yesterday.
The original song is Bette Midler’s “The Rose.” It is the theme song for the 1991 release of Only Yesterday, sung by Japanese enka singer Harumi Miyako.
Isao Takahata, the film’s director, wrote the Japanese lyrics, and the Japanese title became “Ai wa Hana, Kimi wa Sono Tane” (“Love is a Flower, You Are the Seed”).
