Girls' Generation's classic and popular songs
We’d like to introduce songs by Girls’ Generation, a popular South Korean girl group known for tracks like “Gee,” released in 2009, which brought them widespread recognition.
Speaking of Girls’ Generation, they are active as an eight-member group, and all of them are known for their great figures—especially their beautiful legs, which became a huge talking point.
Alongside KARA, who rose to popularity around the same time, they helped support the K-pop boom in Japan.
They’re very popular in Japan as well, but it seems Girls’ Generation enjoys overwhelming popularity in Korea.
Taeyeon, the group’s main vocalist, is said to frequently talk clearly in her sleep and even mimic their choreography while sleeping.
Now, please enjoy a playlist of Girls’ Generation’s songs as they continue to make waves across Asia and in Western countries too.

Girls’ Generation’s classic and popular songs (21–30)
Dancing Queenshōjo jidai

This is a song that was recorded around the time they released Gee, but it wasn’t made public until four years later, in 2012.
Just listening to the track, you don’t really get a strong sense of their early freshness, but once you watch the MV, it’s obvious—the girls look so young, dancing away.
For some reason, they’re also wearing the iconic Gee outfit of white T-shirts and jeans here.
My honest impression is simply, “How cute,” and I’m grateful this track didn’t end up shelved.
Lion Heartshōjo jidai

After a streak of cool concepts, Girls’ Generation is making a cute comeback once again.
But it’s not just cute—they’re sexy, beautiful, and exude a mature Girls’ Generation.
Capturing that grown-up kind of cuteness is very difficult, I think, but their expressive power is outstanding.

Oh!shōjo jidai

This is an irresistibly peppy and cute track that feels like things would get out of hand if there were cheerleaders like these.
The American college-style outfits are all intensely adorable.
The final scene is a must-see for Taeyeon fans.
And apparently, the numbers on the members’ tank tops each have their own meaning!
Love&Peaceshōjo jidai

It makes you want to play the flute and dance together! It’s a staple at live shows—a song everyone can enjoy and get hyped with Girls’ Generation.
It’s such a bright, vitamin-like tune that you might even forget the scorching summer sun.
A track that makes you want to let go of your worries and cut loose!

The music video blends doodles collaged onto the footage into a seamless whole, resulting in a super pop finish.
Watching everyone happily and freely express themselves is so heartwarming.
It brilliantly turns the bittersweet feeling of someone rarely picking up the phone into something bright and catchy!

This song was included on the album and wasn’t released as a single, but it’s an incredibly cute track with a charm you won’t find on the Japanese edition.
Its melody makes you want to sing along in Korean, and it evokes the refreshing breeze of spring.
There’s no official music video, but this footage is irresistible for fans who love Girls’ Generation.

The shocking and unexpected departure of Jessica shook 2014.
Because Jessica handles both the beginning and the end of the song, rumors spread among fans that this might be Jessica’s song through and through.
The lyrics depict the sadness, inner conflict, and hope in one’s heart, and it’s a track that truly tightens your chest when you think of Jessica.
Among ballads, its melody is so wonderful that it deserves to rank quite high.
