Songs that make you sound good at karaoke (81–90)
AliensKirinji

Kirinji is a band formed by Takaki Horigome and his younger brother, Yasuyuki.
They’re known for their languid sound and distinctive lyrics.
Among their songs, Aliens is their biggest hit.
It’s a classic that has been covered by singer-songwriters like Non and Masayuki Suzuki.
The song features a deeply languid melody, so it can sound great even when sung in a soft, whisper-like voice.

so gooSweet William & Jinmenusagi

Jinmenusagi started his career as a net rapper.
When people hear “net rapper,” many imagine something inauthentic or think the tracks sound uncool.
However, he shattered those expectations by releasing many highly sophisticated songs.
With him at the forefront, I believe the image of Japanese net rappers has improved tremendously.
His track “so goo” delivers a languid, ennui-tinged rap vibe.
It’s also very easy to sing, so give it a try!
AmoreKuuchuu-sen

Kūchū-sen is a band with standout talent in Japan’s progressive rock scene.
All of their songs are solidly proggy, but Amore is on the more accessible side among their tracks.
The high notes might be a bit tricky, but since the chorus drops down in intensity, it should be easier to make it sound good.
The intro is insanely cool, so when the song starts, the room might just fall silent.
Definitely check it out!
come againm-flo

m-flo is a popular unit consisting of MC VERBAL, DJ ☆Taku, and vocalist LISA.
They’re known for works that, while stylish in melody, also have a playful touch.
Their hit song “come again” is their 12th single, released in 2001.
This track adopts a 2-step style and prioritizes the overall groove over the vocals.
So even those who aren’t confident singers should find it very easy to sing!
SunshineFIVE NEW OLD

FIVE NEW OLD is a four-piece band formed in Kobe.
They’re an appealing group known for relatively standard pop songs.
The vocalist, Hiroshi, is also well-regarded for his English skills.
They use English often, but aside from the language challenge, I think the vocal parts are relatively easy.
Give it a try! By the way, despite being band members, they have an idol-like appearance, so women especially shouldn’t miss them.
Be sure to check out their visuals too!
In conclusion
This time, I picked songs that sound good even if you’re not a great singer.
I’ve noticed that songs that make you sound good even if you’re not very skilled tend to have a vocal range that’s not too high and not too low.
