Lyrics that touch the heart! PornoGraffitti’s warm and fleeting masterpieces and popular songs (91–100)
ApolloPorunogurafiti

Their major debut single released in 1999.
At the time of their debut, CD shops even mistakenly shelved the band under the name “Apollo,” so many people probably have a strong image of Porno Graffitti = Apollo.
The catchy rhythm paired with slightly biting lyrics makes it a karaoke staple.
Shadow PuppetPorunogurafiti

The 36th single is the theme song for NHK General TV’s Drama 10 “Tsurukame Maternity Clinic: From the Southern Island,” written to match the drama’s image.
It’s their first ballad in two years, a slow-tempo song that evokes gentle, warm feelings.

JovairoPorunogurafiti

The 19th single is Porno Graffitti’s second double A-side, and it served as the theme song for the TBS drama “Konya Hitori no Beddo de.” With a prominent Latin flavor, its passionate yet sorrowful lyrics seem directed at every unrequited love.
Rich in theatrical terminology, the song has a somewhat dramatic feel; its title, “Jovairo,” is said to come from Spanish and carries the meaning “I dance.”
Drawing #1Porunogurafiti

A track included on the 1st album “Romanticist Egoist,” this song, true to the name “Drawing,” is based on vocalist Akihito’s real-life experience and was elevated into music by guitarist Haruichi.
Because it’s drawn from real events, the song contains many vivid, realistic depictions.
However, the original lyrics for the final chorus were supposed to be written by Akihito, but the content was apparently so brutal (Haruichi said it made him want to ask, “Just how were you dumped?”) that Haruichi ended up revising them.
It’s a song that makes you curious about the initial lyrics.
Music HourPorunogurafiti

Their 3rd single.
It was used as the commercial song for Otsuka Pharmaceutical’s soft drink “Pocari Sweat.” The lyrics are perfect for summer with an upbeat rhythm.
There are multiple versions, and even the members themselves reportedly don’t know the exact number.
Depending on the version, the radio DJ-style spoken lines at the beginning and end of the track differ.

Their 22nd single.
Its first unveiling wasn’t at a live show, but on radio programs hosted by the members: Akihito Okano’s All Night Nippon and Caffeine 11.
A song about affirming love and connection.
The lyrics are profoundly deep.
Even if the moon cannot be seen tonightPorunogurafiti

The 27th single served as the theme song for the anime film BLEACH: Fade to Black – Call Out Your Name, as well as the opening theme for the PSP-exclusive game BLEACH: Heat the Soul 6.
It marked Porno Graffitti’s first time having a song used as a game theme.
The track showcases a new side of Porno Graffitti.
It carries weight, yet features relatable lyrics that are part of its appeal.
