Tomorrow as wellSHISHAMO

A three-piece rock band, SHISHAMO, has gained popularity for their relatable, down-to-earth lyrics that resonate with their generation and for their delicate compositions unique to a female perspective.
This song, included on their 4th album “SHISHAMO 4,” was featured as the commercial theme for NTT Docomo’s “Docomo Gakuwari” (student discount) campaign.
Since the song mainly uses tight guitar strumming, it isn’t technically difficult.
However, if you plan to play while singing like the original, it’s important to practice keeping your strumming pattern steady so you don’t get pulled along by the vocal melody.
If your band includes a keyboard, you won’t need to play the solo, but because the sense of speed is crucial, make sure you can change chords smoothly when performing.
Like FlamesMindaRyn

Singer-songwriter MindaRyn from Thailand made her major debut as an anisong singer after gaining attention on YouTube for her J-POP and anime song covers.
Her second single, “Like Flames,” was selected as the opening theme for the TV anime That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2.
The intro guitar riff sounds simple at first, but because it requires large position jumps, you’ll need practice to play it accurately.
Also, if you don’t keep the overall performance tight, the feel will change, so intermediate guitarists should listen carefully to the ensemble as they play.
Pixels of EmotionOkazaki Taiiku

Singer-songwriter Taiiku Okazaki has continued to showcase his multifaceted talents—producer, engineer, actor, and more—since his debut.
The track “Kanjō no Pixel” from his second album XXL was selected as the opening theme for the music program COUNT DOWN TV.
The riff in the A section that uses palm muting has tricky rhythms, and if it isn’t played tightly the feel will change, so be careful.
Aside from that, there’s no guitar solo and the song is relatively easy overall, making it a rock tune that intermediate guitarists can comfortably tackle for practice.
American IdiotGreen Day

A track by Green Day that achieved the historic feat of becoming the first punk band to win the Grammy’s top honor, Record of the Year.
It’s the title track and single from their seventh album, American Idiot, delivering a refreshing blend of modern yet classic punk sounds.
The guitar part is simple, with bold strumming, but because the backing requires quick position shifts, you need to play in a way that prevents each note from cutting off, or you’ll lose the sense of speed.
Precisely because it’s simple, don’t get complacent—this rock tune lets the guitar take center stage.
mixed nutsOfisharu Higedan Dism

A four-piece piano pop band, Official HIGE DANDism, which has taken the J-POP scene by storm with catchy songs born from their exceptional pop sensibilities, releases their seventh digital single.
Written as the opening theme for the TV anime SPY×FAMILY, the track’s brisk, jazzy arrangement really amps up the excitement.
Featuring high-speed, tight obbligatos and cutting, it’s a technically demanding piece, and the abundance of backing parts that could interfere with the vocals if you make mistakes makes it quite challenging.
Since muting and staccato are crucial, first learn the phrases thoroughly at a slow tempo, then try playing along with the track or your band.
bouquetback number

This is a song by the popular band back number.
It’s also well-known as a love song.
Except for the solo, you can play everything with chords and make it sound beautiful.
The intro starts with D, so it might be one of the first tricky songs for beginners.
As for the solo, the key is to take it slowly!
Those who fight the monster called realityTakahashi Yuu

Rather than for guitar beginners, this song is perfect for those new to singing and playing.
Of course, I also recommend trying the lead guitar phrases! There’s a chord change to F, which is considered a hurdle for guitar novices, so I think it makes for great practice.
For the record, this was the first song I did as a sing-and-play performance.
