It’s not particularly difficult, but it’s a song where the guitar really shines! The tempo isn’t fast, but it has a great groove, so I think you’ll have fun playing it.

It includes power chords and a solo section, making it a pretty fulfilling practice piece for beginners!

Wherever you areONE OK ROCK

Wherever you areONE OK ROCK

Many of you probably know this song—it’s a famous ONE OK ROCK track that’s even been used in commercials.

The tempo is slow and there aren’t any particularly difficult parts, so I think beginners can enjoy playing it! There’s also a cool solo section, so go ahead and play that part with confidence!

MIND YOUR STEP!SNAIL RAMP

SNAIL RAMP is a three-piece rock band known as a pioneering act in the genre called ska-core, which incorporates ska elements into melodic hardcore.

Their second single, “MIND YOUR STEP!,” used as the ending theme for the variety show Platinum London Boots, sticks in your head with its catchy melody over a brisk beat.

The offbeat backing on clean tone and the distorted guitar riffs may confuse beginner guitarists more in terms of feel and switching effects than in pure technical difficulty.

On the other hand, once you’ve mastered it, it’s a guaranteed crowd-pleasing upper tune live.

Sora-buneTOKIO

Sora-fune (Sky Ship) – TOKIO (Full)

From TOKIO, it’s ‘Sora-ship’ (Sorafune).

It’s a song with a grown-up, cool vibe.

How about playing it this summer while feeling a step ahead of your other guitar buddies? People often joke that TOKIO’s main job is farming, but in reality they can pull off songs this cool.

It’s ruggedly masculine, yet somehow tinged with a sense of poignancy.

Summer Festival – Whiteberry (Full)

This is a recommended song for female band members.

There are versions with one guitar and with two guitars—be sure to try both.

It’s perfect for practicing chord changes.

There’s also a guitar solo, but it’s not particularly difficult, and the phrases are cool, so why not give it a try?

CHE.R.R.Y.YUI

YUI 『CHE.R.RY-short ver.-』
CHE.R.R.Y.YUI

This is a song I’d recommend to women who are beginners at singing while playing guitar.

It includes F and B-flat, which are said to be difficult for beginner guitarists, so I think it makes for great practice.

Being able to play this song all the way through would be enough to say you’ve graduated from the beginner level.

Outdated Rock ’n’ Roll BandKuwata Keisuke feat. Sano Motoharu, Sera Masanori, Char, Noguchi Goro

A unit of top-tier musicians—Keisuke Kuwata feat.

Motoharu Sano, Masayuki Sera, Char, and Goro Noguchi—assembled under the concept of “Can we collaborate as classmates to put out a message for our times?” This track was released as a charity digital single, and its message praying for world peace truly moves the heart.

While the main focus is on strumming with simple chords, it’s challenging to capture the vibe—like the loose guitar riffs heard in the intro, solo, and fills—so be sure to listen closely to the recording and practice.

There’s nothing technically difficult, so try to play with emotion, keeping the meaning of the lyrics in mind.
