Classic songs sung by GUMI. Recommended popular Vocaloid tracks.
From here on, I’m going to introduce a bunch of wonderful songs performed by the popular VOCALOID, GUMI.
GUMI was developed based on the voice of Megumi Nakajima, who works as a voice actress and singer, and is characterized by her human-like vocal quality.
You might have the impression that she’s mainly used for rock-style tracks, but of course that’s not all.
They’re all masterpieces where various Vocaloid producers let their musical sensibilities explode.
There are so many that it’s hard to introduce them all.

Catch You Catch MeGUMI

The opening theme song of the anime Cardcaptor Sakura.
Composed by Kohmi Hirose, it was originally planned for her to sing, but since it sounded too mature, Gumi performs it instead.
It suits the anime well, and the song has a cute impression within its cool vibe.

ai kara kai aMARUDARUMA

This is a song by MARUDARUMA.
The creator’s name, the title, and the lyrics all feature lots of palindromes.
Perhaps because of that, it’s highly addictive.
The melody is easy to remember, too.
The illustrations in the PV are cute as well, so be sure to pay attention to them while you listen.

“Tensō” refers to bats.
So, this is a song themed around bats.
Its cool melodic lines and GUMI’s cute vocals blend together in a strangely harmonious way, making you want to listen to it over and over.
If you like rock-style tracks, definitely give it a listen.
I’m sorry to you.GUMI

The melody is very bright and cute with a chiptune feel, but the lyrics express the heavy and bittersweet emotions of love.
GUMI-chan’s voice amplifies that desperate feeling even more, making it a song that almost makes you cry.
I want you to listen to it when you’re experiencing unrequited love.
The town closest to springGUMI

This is “The Town Closest to Spring,” produced by 40mP.
The live-action PV is exciting to watch.
The piano and guitar performances, the Vocaloid tuning screen, and other elements give it an almost behind-the-scenes feel.
Being able to enjoy the visuals is precisely because the song has such a catchy groove.
Just a gameGUMI

According to the songwriter and composer takamatt, this is a rare dancehall reggae track in the Vocaloid scene, and it was made with dancing in mind.
The somewhat nostalgic melody matches beautifully with GUMI-chan’s clear singing voice.
Meringue doll10th P

A technopop song that’s poppy and cute, yet somehow feels mysterious.
It makes full use of the VOCALOID GUMI.
It’s adorable, but by adding a heavy bassline, it enhances that distinctive GUMI vibe even more.
