Homemade Halloween costume ideas! A roundup of DIY outfits you can make with everyday materials (21–30)
Frappuccino

Let’s make a stylish Frappuccino costume.
Fold a single piece of fabric so the left and right edges meet at the center line, then cut out the sleeves and neckline.
After sewing the shoulders, attach ribbons to the left and right pieces of fabric where they meet in the middle.
The side with the ribbons will be the back.
Next, add the whipped cream section made from white fabric and the logo on the front to finish.
When making the whipped cream, sew along the center line while pulling the fabric to create the texture.
It’ll be extra cute if you also make a hair accessory that looks like a straw sticking into the whipped cream.
Minnie Mouse’s polka-dot skirt

The red polka-dot skirt that symbolizes Minnie Mouse is perfect for those who want to enjoy just a little Halloween cosplay! After cutting out two pieces of fabric for the front and back, sew them together.
Add gathers at the waist to create Minnie’s cute, frilly look.
Finish the hem, insert the elastic at the waist, and it’s done! Pair it with a black long-sleeve shirt, and you can easily transform into Minnie.
You might also make a ribbon from the leftover fabric and attach it!
Ai Hoshino (Oshi no Ko)

The wildly popular anime “Oshi no Ko” character Ai Hoshino’s idol-ready pink outfit! Make and wear this, and you’re sure to stand out on Halloween.
Since there are many small components, be sure to double-check which part you’re working on when cutting fabric and sewing pieces together.
Using smooth satin fabric will make the costume look even more authentic.
Don’t forget to make the bunny-and-ribbon hair accessory she wears on her head, grab a microphone, and fully become Ai Hoshino!
Witch’s cloak

Have you ever wanted to be a witch? If so, try making a witch’s costume.
What you’ll need are a large colored garbage bag, sparkly tape, double-sided tape, and so on.
If you layer the colored bags and cut the hem into jagged edges, it gives a witch-like look.
Thread elastic through the waist and secure it with double-sided tape to complete the skirt.
You can make the top from a garbage bag too.
Once the main pieces are done, add decorations with sparkly tape.
If you also make a magic wand to carry, it will look even more witch-like.
pirate

Unlike leather, when you make it with felt, a pirate costume surprisingly takes on a fancy vibe.
Cutting the shoulder area into zigzags makes it look even more pirate-like.
The decorative ribbons don’t need to be sewn on too neatly either.
When shaping a pirate-style hat, use a pattern.
I drew the hat logo freehand, but it’s worth trying various symbols, not just the classic ones.
Among cosplay costumes, this design is very easy to move in.
With a few tweaks, you can create outfits for all kinds of pirate crews!
