Spot the differences for Halloween

Spot-the-difference is a game where you compare two pictures and find the parts that are different.
This time there’s a 30-second time limit, so you might feel nervous and rushed.
However, the key to spot-the-difference is to take your time and compare the fine details carefully.
Can you find all five differences? It’s great for classes or groups, but working in a small team of about two to three people can help you cooperate and figure out the answers together.
Take this opportunity to give it a try!
Song “There’s No Such Thing as Ghosts”Mieko Hirota

One of the children’s favorite songs is “Obake Nante Nai sa” (“There’s No Such Thing as Ghosts”).
It’s a perfect song for Halloween and one kids really love! While the lyrics say there aren’t any ghosts, the song wonders what to do if one did appear—revealing a child who’s actually quite scared of ghosts.
How about singing it while dressing up and pretending to be a ghost? You can enjoy it in a different mood than usual.
If you also enjoy Keiko Sena’s original book “Obake Nante Nai sa,” which the song is based on, it’ll really help build excitement for Halloween.
[Halloween] Maze Play

Speaking of autumn events, you can’t leave out Halloween, right? Here’s an introduction to a maze activity that incorporates Halloween elements! It features slightly spooky touches for kids, like spider webs made from elastic string, a dark tunnel made from cardboard, and a curtain of crepe streamers you can’t see through.
There are also water mats and sensory mats—no ghosts appear, but there are plenty of little thrills.
Make it in October and be sure to have everyone play together!
[Hand Play] One Little Ghost
![[Hand Play] One Little Ghost](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/r9c3tnuddZU/sddefault.jpg)
This “Ippiki Obake” is a popular hand-play song in early childhood education.
Each time the same phrase is repeated, the number of little ghosts increases.
Match that by adding more body parts to move, and at the end say “Waa!” to playfully startle someone nearby.
It’s very simple, so even children who are too young to dance can imitate it and enjoy themselves.
Since it’s a ghost song, it’s perfect for Halloween in October, too.
Playing it repeatedly turns into a full-body activity and may help children relieve stress.
