Well, of course—March of the New GenerationMinxZone
As the opening theme for Hanakappa, the song “Sorya Sorya Soujan ~March of the New Generation~” aired in the first half of the 2012 season.
Its colorful sound and gentle vocals brightened the world of Hanakappa.
MinxZone, the three-piece band with a female vocalist who created the track, gives it a slightly different vibe from the other opening themes, but the upbeat lyrics will put even adult listeners in a happy mood.
Spring, Summer, Autumn, WinterHanakappa
“Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter” is a chant-like song that’s sung when Hanakappa makes the flower on his head bloom.
With easy-to-remember lyrics and a fun, cheerful tune, it’s hugely popular with little kids.
Many parents and children probably copy the moves and dance along, right? The cute choreography makes it fun no matter how many times you sing it!
LienEvery Little Thing
Every Little Thing performed the theme song for Hanakappa’s first film, released in 2013, titled “Hanakappa the Movie: Blooming! Paka—n♪ The Great Adventure in the Butterfly Kingdom.” “Lien” means “bond” in French, making it a perfect fit for the film’s story about family bonds.
By the way, ELT members Kaori Mochida and Ichiro Ito make guest appearances in the movie as “Mocchi” and “Ikkun.”
Gur☆Maze Yeah!!hitomi
This is Pattern 3 of the Season 2 ending, “Guru☆Maze Yeah!!”.
The official dance video features choreography that even small children can easily imitate, making it a song you can sing, dance to, and enjoy.
It’s an upbeat, bright, and fun track, so I imagine many kids like this song.
Hanaka ParadeEriko Imai
In the latter half of the 2012 broadcast year, during the third season of Hanakappa, the opening theme was this song, Hanakappa Parade.
The vocals were performed by Eriko Imai, also known for her work with SPEED.
As a mother, she delivers a happy song that lifts children’s spirits, making it a track that puts listeners in a joyful mood.
Hanakappa ParadiseEriko Imai
Hanakappa Paradise is the song by Eriko Imai, formerly of SPEED, that became the ending theme for season 3 of Hanakappa.
It was released in 2012 as a single CD together with Hanakappa Parade, which aired as the opening theme during the same period.
The lyrics—encouraging kids to dance and smile even after crying or feeling down—convey a message that’s just right for children.

In the third season of Hanakappa in fiscal year 2012, the ending theme was sung by Kie Kitano, who is active as an actress.
