Let’s try making a card stand using colorful craft wires.

Wires come in different levels of stiffness, but ones you can bend by hand make the process easier.

Even elementary school children should be able to make one using their hands skillfully.

When making small loops, having needle-nose pliers is convenient.

Bend the wire while looking at the card stand pattern.

One of the fun parts of this project is watching the card stand gradually take shape as you bend the wire.

When you decorate your desk or shelves with photos of your favorite idol, it really lifts your spirits, doesn’t it? Let’s make a lovely, handmade heart-shaped card stand.

All you need is cardboard.

Cardboard is usually easy to find, so preparation should be simple.

Draw a heart on construction paper, cut it out with scissors, and glue it onto the cardboard with a hot glue gun.

You can buy hot glue guns at 100-yen shops.

After attaching it to the cardboard, paint the construction paper side.

On the opposite side, glue another heart-shaped piece of construction paper with the hot glue gun and paint that as well.

Glue two of the heart-shaped cardboard pieces together, fix them onto a cardboard base, and you’re done.

How about making them in a variety of heart colors?

Here’s an introduction to a wooden, high-capacity card stand that’s perfect for people who like to display their favorite cards in their rooms.

The wood is laminated in a stair-step pattern.

You can buy lumber at home improvement stores, but these days even 100-yen shops sell various types of wood.

If you make good use of 100-yen shops, you can build it at little to no cost.

Using wood gives you a sturdy, authentic-looking card stand that won’t feel cheap when displayed in your room.

Plus, even when holding a large number of cards, it’s more reliable in terms of strength than one made of paper.

When you play board games that use cards, having a card stand is really handy.

Here’s an easy-to-make card stand.

You can fold it from a single sheet of A4 copy paper, so why not learn the folding method? Start by making creases to divide the paper into six equal sections, then proceed with the folds.

Once it’s folded, glue it together.

Depending on the board game, it can usually hold around 10 cards.

If the stand becomes unstable and looks like it might tip over after you insert the cards, try placing a pen or something similar in the gap of the stand as a weight.

Let’s make a card stand using wire you can even buy at 100-yen shops.

A fabric tulip is attached to the tip of the wire, making it a cute piece.

It’s easy if you trace the wire stand’s design onto paper first.

Follow the traced design on the paper and bend the wire along the lines.

Sew fabric into a tulip shape and stuff it with filling.

Once you attach the tulip piece to the wire, it’s complete.

You can also have fun by customizing it—like changing the tulip to a different flower.

In conclusion

A handmade card stand is a lovely item that brings a small touch of comfort to everyday life. Born from simple materials, its warm charm stands out as a striking accent in your interior decor. Display your favorite photos or postcards and enjoy creating a special space that’s uniquely yours.
