Decorate a bat! Here are some ideas for “deco bats.” Since it’s for a sports festival, how about decorating items used in sports? Instead of equipment used for actual games or club activities, using a toy bat for decoration can be really cute.
You can attach sparkling rhinestones and chains, or add stickers of your favorite characters and styles.
Fluffy faux fur and ribbons will completely change the vibe, too!
deco penlight
Get into the spirit! Here are some ideas for decorating penlights.
Penlights are often used as merchandise at concerts for artists and idols, right? This time, let’s liven up the sports festival with DIY penlights using materials you can buy at a 100-yen shop.
What you’ll need: photos, a light stick, laminating sheets, lace, pearl stickers, and more.
These penlights will be perfect both for cheering at the sports festival and for photo ops afterward!

We’re introducing neon cheering fans that are easy to see even from a distance.
Prepare a sturdy black fan as the base and get started.
Once you’ve decided on a design, draw the letters and illustrations while keeping the overall balance in mind.
Spray over it, then trace the letters again from the top to finish.
You’ll have a neon fan that shines like neon and is easy to see from anywhere.
It’s a fun cheering item to make, so it’s great to create them together as a team while strengthening communication.
Form finger
@diywithdey DIY Foam Finger! #footballthemedparty#eventdecorations

Introducing foam fingers that draw attention with their size—whether you wear them on a finger or over your whole palm.
We recommend making foam fingers in your team colors.
If you make them larger, your support will stand out more and make a bold statement.
If you make them smaller, they’re easier to handle and fit the hand better.
Write messages or your team name on the finished foam finger as you create it.
When you wave your foam finger along with fight songs or noisemakers, it builds a sense of unity and leads to passionate cheering.
pom-pom stick
@tanyagg.creative Make your own degradable/recyclable pompoms! #pompom#howto#diy#ecofriendly#paper#festival#event

Let me show you how to make an easy pom-pom stick.
Prepare a paper straw, tape, and paper string.
First, cut the paper string into equal lengths, then insert the pieces into the paper straw.
The more you add, the more festive it will look.
Seal the opening with tape, and you’re done.
You can also try splitting paper tape to add volume to the tips.
It’s easy to handle and allows for fine movements—give this simple pom-pom stick a try!
Glowing banner
@neonpark_interior_light Do glowing banners stand out even during the day?Sports cheering#OshiActivitiesOhtani game-watching#CheerBasketball supportIdol Supportunderground idol#CheeringGoodsbanner
Omnidirectional Beautiful Girl – Nashi
A glowing banner is sure to draw attention at a sports day! Although sports days are easily affected by the weather, even under slightly cloudy skies the sparkling letters will shine and boost everyone’s cheering.
When preparing a banner, get a large piece of fabric, write simple, large letters, and arrange them with good balance to make them easy to read.
When using it outdoors, make sure to secure any lighting equipment firmly so it doesn’t get blown away and fall, and use it with safety in mind.
It’ll be even more exciting if you combine it with other cheering items!
mini pom-pom

Here’s how to make mini pom-poms.
Prepare raffia tape (suzuran tape), a paperback book to use as a base, and scissors.
First, wrap the raffia tape around the paperback about 20 times.
Cut at the bottom, thread a piece of tape through the top and tie it lightly, then slide it off the book and tie the handle section securely.
Finally, split (shred) the raffia tape, and you’re done.
The finer you shred it, the more volume you get, resulting in fluffy pom-poms.
Using different colors for left and right adds a personalized, cute touch.
Give it a try!
