Let’s make a pop-up card with flowers that spring out.

First, take a circle cut from colored paper and fold it in half three times.

Round off the outer edge so it forms petals, then open it up.

Next, make a valley fold along the horizontal center line and fold the paper to create a heart shape.

Attach this to the inside of a card base that’s been folded in half.

Apply glue to one side of the heart, align the pointed bottom with the center fold, and stick it on so it’s sideways.

Apply glue to the other side as well, close the card to adhere it, and you’re done! When you open it, the flowers bloom—it’s a lovely message card!

Message card made with stickers and a pen

I tried making a simple and cute birthday card using DAISO stickers.
Message card made with stickers and a pen

It’s an idea for drawing pictures and patterns on a postcard using stickers and a pen.

For example, you can randomly stick round stickers on the top half of the postcard and draw strings beneath them with a pen to create balloons.

Using round stickers of different sizes, you can make a bear or a snowman, and drawing the faces with a pen will surely look cute.

If you want a more elaborate design, you can cut larger stickers with scissors and use the pieces.

If you’d like to keep it simple, I recommend using patterned stickers.

Give it a try!

Cute Randoseru CardNEW!

You can write a message on the inside of the flap and even put candy in the inner pocket! Here’s a perfect randoseru (school backpack) card for gifts.

You’ll make the body, the flap, and the shoulder straps.

Use 15 cm origami paper for the body and flap, and use a sheet that’s half of a half (1/2, then halved again) for the shoulder straps.

For the body, fold the bottom edge up to a point 3 cm from the top, flip the paper over, and fold the left and right edges to meet at the center line.

For the flap, fold the paper in half by overlapping the left and right sides, then fold both bottom corners into small triangles.

Tuck those triangles inward, insert the top part into the body, and finish assembling the backpack.

For the shoulder straps, just fold the origami in half and attach them!

Bouquet message cardNEW!

A bouquet message card made of origami is a perfect idea for a birthday when you want to express your feelings.

First, fold the origami paper in half, then rotate it and fold it in half again.

Trim the lower left and right edges to shape it, then fold up to the creases in order to create the base of the bouquet.

Make a separate triangular piece to form a ribbon and attach it, then evenly glue on colorful petals to finish it off as a vibrant bouquet.

The key is to layer them little by little to create a three-dimensional effect.

Writing a name in the center adds a special touch.

Footprint message card

Let's make a Father's Day gift: a footprint message card!
Footprint message card

Perfect for Father’s Day or your dad’s birthday! How about making a message card that uses a child’s footprint as a necktie? First, use an ink pad or similar to make a footprint on white construction paper.

Cut it into a square, and once it’s dry, write your message on top.

Next, fold a shirt out of colored paper and tuck the footprint message card—acting as the tie—into the center.

Folding the shirt can be tricky for little kids, so please have an adult help with that step.

Message card made with decalcomania

Message card made with decalcomania

Let’s make a message card using decalcomania! Decalcomania means transferring an image.

Fold a sheet of construction paper in half and open it; put paint only on one side, then close the paper.

Press so the paint spreads, and when you open it, the paint will have transferred to the other side, creating a beautiful pattern.

Cut the paper into shapes like butterflies, flowers, or stars, and stick one in the center of your card.

Add a message at the end, and you’re done! You can create all kinds of patterns by changing the colors of the paint and where you apply it, so have fun experimenting.

pop-up message card

Let's give a pop-up message card for Mother's Day
pop-up message card

Here’s a handmade idea for a flower pop-up card.

First, fold a sheet of origami paper into a triangle three times, draw a petal shape, and cut it with scissors so that the center stays connected.

When you open it, you should have a flower with eight petals.

Cut off one petal and glue the adjacent edges together to make a six-petal flower.

Make a total of seven flowers in the same way, glue all the flowers together, and then attach them to the center of a folded message card to complete your pop-up card! Be careful when using scissors to avoid injury.

Perfect for Valentine’s Day! A cute bear card

The bear-themed card has a gentle design that conveys your feelings the moment it’s received, leaving a strong impression.

The steps—from folding origami to shaping it and finishing it as a card—are easy to follow, making it natural to focus on the task.

When you draw the face and write a message, it’s fun to get creative while thinking about the person you’re giving it to.

It’s cute without being overly sweet, making it an easy choice as a Valentine’s gift for friends or family.

I felt it’s an idea that conveys the unique warmth of something handmade.

A message card made with water-based pens and a spray bottle

You can create stylish patterns using water-based pens and a spray bottle! First, place a plastic bag over a card, and use a water-based pen to draw pictures or patterns on the plastic bag.

When you’re done, spray it with water and flip the bag over.

The water-blurred ink will transfer onto the paper, creating a magical pattern.

Be careful not to use too much water.

The pattern will change depending on the type of pen and how you apply the colors, so try different variations.

Once the water-based ink is dry, write your message to finish!

Cute card with beads

[Easy Valentine’s] I made a cute heart-shaped message card using that item from Seria 🥰 #shorts #childcare #parenting #childrearing #Valentine
Cute card with beads

When you shake it, the beads on the cover move—it’s a cute and stylish card.

You can make it if you have construction paper, a clear bag, beads, stickers, and other decoration items.

First, cut the card base out of construction paper and fold it in half.

Next, cut a heart-shaped window in the center of the front cover and attach a clear bag filled with beads to the back side.

Once the clear bag is securely fixed, glue the front and back covers together.

Finally, decorate the cover with your favorite items, and it’s done! If you use brown-toned construction paper for the base and wrap it with aluminum foil, you can even make it look like a chocolate bar.
