Handmade decorations for the graduation ceremony: A collection of simple yet striking decoration ideas (21–30)
Weeping cherry blossom wall decoration

The hanging weeping-cherry decorations will celebrate the graduating children in a festive way.
Fold tissue paper in an accordion, secure the center with a rubber band, and trim the ends into cherry blossom petal shapes.
When making the petals, cut more broadly and roughly where the paper edges meet.
Once that’s done, fan it out and shape it into a flower.
Then thread a string through and hang it on the wall—that’s it! If you match the string color to the tissue paper, it won’t stand out; using a brown tone that matches the branch color also blends in nicely and is recommended.
By changing the tissue paper colors or varying the size of the cuts, you can create cherry blossoms in a range of sizes.
Balloon ceiling decoration

Want to float balloons and decorate your ceiling with vibrant color? In that case, all you need are balloons and masking tape to easily create a fun space.
Inflate your favorite balloons and stick a loop of masking tape to the very top, opposite the tied end.
Then just press them onto the ceiling! Be mindful of any lights or fixtures on the ceiling as you attach lots of balloons.
If you put masking tape on the side of the balloons, you can cover the walls with balloons, too!
flower bouquet

Decorate the graduation ceremony venue and tables with small, cute flower bouquets! First, cut a paper cup down to about one-third of its original height.
Put crumpled newspaper and then a ball of modeling clay inside.
Next, use toothpicks to insert small pieces of tissue paper (flower paper) until the clay is completely covered.
It’s best to randomly insert pieces of tissue paper in similar color tones.
Finally, cut the leftover piece from the paper cup into a thin strip and attach it like a handle to finish.
You can enjoy various arrangements by changing the cup size to adjust the overall size, or by adding a string to the handle so you can hang them as decorations!
Mosaic art

How about creating a mosaic art piece using photos full of memories? Fun times, tough practice sessions, the frustration of losing a match—there have been so many moments.
But looking back at them now, at the moment of graduation from the team, don’t they all feel like precious memories? Use photos that capture the moments that helped you grow, and fill the wall with a picture or pattern.
We recommend choosing a motif that symbolizes the sport!
Welcome Board

If you stylishly finish the welcome board to greet alumni visiting the venue, it will become a splendid part of the venue decor! For the base, use a corkboard or fabric board.
In the center, place a sign that says “Welcome,” “Yōkoso,” or a message celebrating the graduation.
Decorate around it with your favorite embellishments, such as artificial flowers and ribbons.
Display the finished board on an easel or hang it on the entrance door.
twirly decoration

This decoration lets you create both a stylish and playful look.
Prepare construction paper cut into 10 cm × 10 cm squares, and fold each one into a triangle once.
Round off the largest corner of the triangle, then cut it into long, narrow strips about 1 cm wide.
Make four of these, then use a thin stick to gently curl each piece overall.
Next, apply glue to the ends and attach them together; while spreading them into a circular shape, add curls again to finish.
Tie a string to the completed piece and hang it up as a decoration.
Try arranging it together with other paper decorations you’ve made, too!
Flower decoration you can color in your favorite colors

This is a perfect idea for when you want to decorate a venue with flowers in your favorite colors.
First, cut two sheets of kitchen paper in half and stack all the pieces, then fold them in an accordion style.
Secure the center with wire, and spread it out to form a flower shape.
Next, prepare paint diluted with water and put it into a syringe-style dropper or similar tool.
Use this to add color to the paper flower you just made.
You can color it with a single shade, or combine several colors—both are recommended.
Once your flowers are finished, attach strings to hang them as decorations, place them in paper cups to adorn tables, or arrange them in any way you like.
