candy bouquet

If you want to give something a little different, a “candy bouquet” is a great choice.
A candy bouquet is a bouquet made from sweets: you attach candies to bamboo skewers or toothpicks and insert them into a base.
You can use your mom’s favorite treats, or choose them by color scheme and design.
For the base, use dry floral foam; since it doesn’t look very nice on its own, it’s better to place it in a mug or cover it with wrapping so it’s not visible.
It’s very easy to make, so use this as a guide and give it a try!
Botanical candle

Here are some ideas for “botanical candles” that will make Mom’s time at home stylish and soothing.
Botanical candles have dried flowers and the like embedded in them, and they’re popular as interior decor too! Pour wax into a mold filled with candle chips to make the base candle.
Next, place the base candle into a slightly larger mold than before, and pack flowers, leaves, fruits, and other items around it.
Pour in more wax, let it set, and you’re done.
Since you’ll be melting wax, be careful not to get burned.
flower box

Recently, clocks and albums with flower boxes have become popular.
Of course, people who love flowers will enjoy them, and it’s rare to find a woman who doesn’t.
So why not make a flower box as a gift for your mother? You can get all the materials at a 100-yen shop, and since you’ll use artificial flowers, she’ll be able to enjoy flowers that never wilt.
All you need are an interior wood collection case and artificial flowers.
If you want to paint the case, prepare paint and varnish as well.
It’s really easy to make—just cut the stems off the artificial flowers and pack them into the case.
If you want to get creative, you can decorate the lid of the case and attach a memorable photo or a message on the back!
apron

Speaking of moms, an apron is a must-have item! Clothes can get dirtier than you’d expect when doing housework, so having an apron is really handy.
Here, we’re introducing DIY apron ideas that don’t use a pattern.
It features a large pocket on the front and ties at the waist.
The shoulder straps cross at the back, so it won’t slip off—nice and secure.
I think it’s a stylish design that fits any body type, but keep in mind that some women don’t like receiving “mom” items as gifts, so be mindful of that when giving one.
amuletNEW!

Let’s use clear flake stickers to make a sparkly good-luck charm.
Prepare a transparent plastic sheet, draw the outline of the charm, and cut it out.
Make three identical pieces; for one of them, cut out a square window in the center.
Decorate one uncut piece with your favorite flake stickers, then layer and adhere the cut-out piece on top.
Pour glitter into the cut-out window, then place the final uncut piece over it and secure everything together.
Embellish the border with rhinestones, add a string and a ribbon, and it’s done! A charm made with care makes a heartfelt gift, so I think it will be appreciated in any situation.
Hair accessory

When it comes to classic gifts for women, accessories are a top choice.
Among them, hair accessories are easy to wear, and with so many options—like scrunchies, barrettes, and clips—you’re sure to find the perfect present for your mom.
There are plenty of handmade ideas too, such as crochet hair ties with pearls, fabric scrunchies, and clips decorated with resin pieces.
Look for an idea you can enjoy making and that your mom will love, and give it a try!

Make it with cardboard! Here’s an easy photo frame craft idea.
Cut a piece of cardboard into a rectangle slightly larger than your photo, then cut out the inside a little smaller than the photo size.
Cover the front with paper in your favorite color, and glue thin strips of cardboard to the back—along both sides and in the center of the bottom.
Attach another piece of cardboard the same size as the frame on top of that, decorate as you like, and you’re done! You can slide the photo in through the gap at the top and display it.
Try designing it in a way that will delight the person you’re giving it to!
