Here’s how to make a bi-fold wallet.

Prepare colored construction paper, double-sided tape, scissors, your favorite stickers, and tweezers.

Fold the paper three times, alternating front and back, until it’s roughly the size that can hold a bill.

Open it halfway, mark 1 cm along the left and right edges, apply double-sided tape along the vertical edges, and fold it in half.

Attach double-sided tape to a small piece of cut paper to create the wallet’s closure tab.

Put double-sided tape on the opposite side of the closure, and reinforce the closing side with clear tape; now you can open and close the wallet.

Finish by sticking cute, favorite stickers on the front! It might be fun to make this for pretend shopping games.

Gently Swaying Jellyfish

Perfect for summer hanging decorations! Here’s an idea for making jellyfish out of paper.

First, cut your favorite paper into strips.

Prepare nine strips of the same length.

Layer eight of them in a radial pattern and glue them together; with the remaining strip, glue the ends together to make a loop.

Attach the radial set to the loop to form the jellyfish’s round top.

Next, cut another piece of paper into a rectangle, and make fine slits with a craft knife, leaving about the top 1/5 uncut to create the tentacles.

Roll this into a tube, then connect it to the round top with thread—and you’re done! You can also add cute variations by threading beads onto the string, curling the tentacles, or trimming them shorter.

Caterpillar Spring

Here’s how to make a paper inchworm spring.

Prepare four rubber bands, an A4 sheet of paper, cardstock, scissors, a pen, and glue.

Fold the A4 sheet into eighths and cut along the folds.

Divide the cut strips into two sets of four and color each set a different color to make it easier to see.

First, glue two strips together at the corners so they meet at a 90-degree angle.

Fold the bottom strip over the top, then fold the new bottom strip up over the top, and repeat.

As you go, attach additional strips to continue the length.

Keep accordion-folding and glue the end to finish the accordion body.

Next, to make the inchworm’s face and tail to attach to the accordion, cut two circles from cardstock.

Draw the face on one circle; the other will be the tail.

Glue the face and tail to the top and bottom ends of the accordion.

Make four slits in each circle so that the top and bottom of the circle remain parallel.

Hook a rubber band horizontally into each slit.

Do the same for the tail end—and you’re done!

[Origami] Spinning Top Made from Two Sheets of Origami Paper (Pre-Improved Version)
How to fold a spinning top using two sheets of origami paperNEW!

Here’s how to fold a spinning top that twirls with just a light touch.

First, fold into a triangle twice to make crease lines.

Fold all four corners to the center to set the creases.

Turn the paper over so a corner faces you, then fold that front corner up to the top crease.

Open it and turn to the front, then use the “Kannon” fold to make guiding creases.

Fold the corners along the creases so they overlap into a square.

Shape it into a three-dimensional form like a spinning top—this completes the shaft.

Using another sheet of origami paper, start from the “zabuton” fold to make the body.

Finally, stack the two pieces together and you’re done!

How to fold a playable spinning topNEW!

Here’s a simple spinning top idea made with two sheets of origami paper.

If you can do the “zabuton fold,” where you fold all four corners toward the center, you can make it.

Use the first sheet for the body of the top and the second sheet for the handle.

For the body, do one zabuton fold, then flip the paper over and fold the same way.

Flip the paper over once more and do another zabuton fold.

Then fold the four corners that have gathered on the back outward into triangles, and the body is done.

For the handle, do the zabuton fold three times in a row without flipping, then valley-fold along the diagonal and press it flat.

Insert the handle into the inner, folded-back section of the body to complete the top.
