A collection of cheerful children’s songs: tunes that make you feel happy when you sing them (91–100)
Being human is nice

It’s a song with lyrics by Akari Yamaguchi and music by Asei Kobayashi.
In 1984, it became the ending theme for the TV program Manga Nihon Mukashi-banashi (MBS).
It was also used in a Nissan Serena commercial, so many people may recognize it even if they don’t know the anime.
Yokai Shiritori

Lyrics by Okuhara Yume, music by Tane Tomoko.
It’s a song that was sung on “Okaasan to Issho.” The names of yokai form a shiritori chain, and the lyrics simply have them appearing one after another, but together with the melody, it becomes an unforgettable song.
Ofurosuki Counting Song

This song was written and composed by Kensaku Kobayashi and is an insert song from the children’s program “Miitsuketa!”.
Have you ever seen Ofurosuki wearing coveralls? It’s a counting song sung by a quirky, funny, and charming character.
How about singing it together with your child?
Where is this mushroom?

With lyrics by Morichiyoko and music by Zahatorte, this song was performed on NHK’s “Okaasan to Issho.” The lyrics are mysterious—like wordplay, a tongue twister, or perhaps some kind of spell.
To sing it at a brisk tempo, it might be best to loosen up your mouth muscles first!
Tomatotto…? Chili pepper — a vegetable shiritori

This song is the ending theme for the NHK TV anime Hanakappa, with lyrics and music by Shinji Kakijima.
The lyrics use a vegetable shiritori word chain, packed with humor, and the upbeat tempo makes it really fun.
The whole song lets you enjoy interacting with vegetables!
Good Morning Song

This is a song often sung in nurseries and kindergartens as a morning greeting.
Its bright melody, which fills children with the excitement of “What shall I play at school today?”, is especially memorable.
It’s easy for little ones to learn, so it would be wonderful to sing it cheerfully in the morning and start a fun-filled day.
Toy Cha-Cha-Cha

Many people sang “Omocha no Cha-Cha-Cha” when they were little, right? In fact, among children’s songs, this one is actually on the more difficult side in terms of rhythm and pitch.
But once you’re an adult, that level of complexity can actually make it easier to sing.
It’s a song where everyone—kids and adults alike—can get excited together, adding hand claps during the “cha-cha-cha” parts.
