English riddles

Riddles exist not only in Japan but in other countries as well.

This quiz presents English riddles in English and has you solve them.

Because it also tests your ability to translate English, it’s more difficult, but doesn’t thinking of them as riddles make you more motivated than translating boring sentences? What’s more, the quizzes themselves sometimes have answers and a vibe that play like American jokes—things that would appeal to Americans—so you also need the sensitivity to pick up on that.

In many ways, you could say these are riddles that are interesting on multiple levels.

70-minute endurance quiz

Here’s a quiz that’s like a marathon in the quiz world.

Rather than a riddle, it’s the kind of quiz that lets you pick up a solid round of studying just by listening and thinking of the answers as you go.

It’s apparently 70 minutes long.

By listening repeatedly, you’ll start to figure out the answers you didn’t know, and before you realize it, your academic skills will improve.

It seems like it would be useful for entrance exam prep, too.

This video is on Japanese history, but there are other versions like geography.

It feels like you’ll make better progress than studying alone, right? Focus and give it a try!

Japanese History and Fractions

Japanese History and Fractions

You might wonder what fractions have to do with a Japanese history quiz.

This quiz is somewhat complex: you need to have knowledge of Japanese history and use it to solve mathematical problems.

Because you approach the problems from many angles, you’ll have to use your brain more than with usual questions—it’s a good mental workout.

These kinds of cross-subject problems are also recommended because they help develop critical thinking.

They’re likely useful for entrance exam study as well, so give them a try.

Here’s a quiz that can test your intelligence.

They say a high school student could solve it in seven seconds.

Look at the picture, find hints within it, and answer.

Picture-based quizzes require a different kind of focus compared to text-based ones, so they seem great for exercising your brain.

Rather than always answering the same type of quiz, solving a variety of quizzes will likely provide better stimulation for your brain.

It might even make studying easier to understand.
