Aim for a high score! A collection of easy-to-sing karaoke songs recommended for high school students
When karaoke has a scoring feature, you can’t help wanting to go for a high score, right?
I’m sure many of you enjoy competing for high scores with your friends.
This time, for high school students who love karaoke, I’ve selected some songs that seem relatively easy to sing and good for aiming at high scores.
The key to getting a high score at karaoke is, above all else, to memorize the melody and rhythm (note values) accurately!
If you want to aim for a high score, listen closely to the guide melody, memorize it, and then try singing.
If you’re thinking, “There’s no way I can memorize all that,” one trick might be to turn up the guide melody volume so it’s easier to hear while you sing.
Some of the individual song introduction articles also include advice specifically for getting high scores, so be sure to use this article as a reference and get a leg up on your friends!

Aim for a High Score! Recommended Karaoke Songs for High School Students: Easy-to-Sing Picks (101–110)
Me and FlowersSakanakushon

When it comes to karaoke, many people find high-key songs difficult.
You can’t reach those high notes, and as a result your rhythm falls apart.
However, Sakanaction’s “Boku to Hana” has a relatively low key, so I think it’s very easy to sing.
The lyrics don’t have many words either, so you can focus on staying in tune as you sing.
One thing to watch out for is that there aren’t many places to breathe during the chorus.
Since you often hold a single syllable for a long time, the key is to take solid breaths whenever you have the chance.
A Naked Heartaimyon

This is Aimyon’s 10th single, released in June 2020.
Because it’s a song by Aimyon, who is known for her strong vocal ability, aiming for a high score at karaoke makes it a bit challenging.
However, the tempo of this song is medium to slow, making it easier to keep the rhythm and relatively easier to sing.
Aimyon herself expresses the song by switching exquisitely between chest voice and falsetto, which is a fairly advanced technique.
If you’re not confident, it might be better not to imitate that and instead lower the key when you sing—this could be the trick to getting a high score.
rainbowSuda Masaki

Masaki Suda’s fifth single overall, released in November 2020.
It’s the theme song for the Toho film “STAND BY ME Doraemon 2,” with lyrics and composition by Hyui Ishizaki—Suda’s trusted collaborator, as with the previous two singles.
It’s a gentle, slightly heartwarming slow ballad, and the melody is simple and easy to remember compared to many contemporary songs, so I think plenty of people could sing it at karaoke and score high.
The key to making it sound good is to sing without overexerting yourself while still maintaining a sense of strength.
It’s a wonderful song that warms your heart just by listening, so definitely try singing it and have fun.
