Japanese Hit Songs of 2006 (11–20)

Bud of LoveKōda Kumi

Back then, the gals in my grade seemed to love this song and would often sing it at karaoke (lol).

I didn’t dislike it, but I remember being indifferent since I was Team Ayu at the time.

The lyrics are straightforward and nice, but something about it rubbed me the wrong way (lol).

Keep tryin’Utada Hikaru

Her songs are unusually distinctive and great, right? But they’re tough (lol).

I don’t think I’m very familiar with this track, though the chorus does sound somewhat familiar.

Still, I like her music because it always has a worldview that no one else can imitate.

Startin’Hamasaki Ayumi

Startin'Hamasaki Ayumi

When this song came out, I listened to it all the time.

I watched the music video so often that I remember it clearly.

I thought, “Wow, this is so cool,” and it stuck with me right away (lol).

I still sing it a lot at karaoke, so yeah, I really like it.

Real FaceKAT-TUN

Since this song was released, I remember listening to it many times.

Plus, I really liked KAT-TUN when they debuted, so I always watched whenever they performed this song on TV (lol).

Jin-kun’s voice was already sexy even back then (lol).

Sora-buneTOKIO

Sora-fune (Sky Ship) – TOKIO (Full)

When this song first came out, I instantly thought it was so cool and fell in love with it.

I discovered it through the drama it was the theme song for, and the song matched the show really well, which was great (lol).

I still sing it myself at karaoke sometimes, and I still love it even now.
