Kiyoshiro Imawano’s classic and popular songs (31–40)
Magica Demiur Star TourImawano Kiyoshirō

It wasn’t included on any of the original albums; it was a song performed as the opening number on a tour of small live houses across the country.
It’s a parody of the Beatles’ Magical Mystery Tour, and the venue instantly went wild.

Speaking of Kiyoshiro Imawano, his musical style is striking for evoking nostalgic scenes within a punky vibe.
Among his works, “Ameagari no Yozora ni” especially showcases his musical character.
While the highest notes aren’t very high, the pitch mid2F# appears frequently, so when adjusting the key, it’s best to center your tuning around that note.
The lyrics are a bit risqué, but it’s a song that tends to get the crowd going at karaoke, so consider adding it to your repertoire.
Song of HealingImawano Kiyoshirō

It was included on the single CD for the song JUMP.
At the time of its release, it was used in a TV commercial, and Kiyoshiro also appeared in it.
It was also when the term “iyashi-kei” (healing type) began to be used frequently, so I think it was a very timely song.
The third most important thingRC sakuseshon

It’s a song about a high school girl’s feelings that says a lover is the third most important thing.
She might be different from high school girls today, but I felt something similar toward someone I had a crush on—even though I never said it out loud—so the song really resonates with me.
Take it easy.Imawano Kiyoshirō

This is an energizing song packed with the charm of Kiyoshiro Imawano.
It was included on the album “GOD,” released in March 2005, and was also used in a TV commercial for an energy drink.
Imawano’s distinctive vocals and humor-filled lyrics leave a strong impression.
The phrase “I want to be happy, but I don’t want to try too hard” seems to speak for how we feel living in modern society, and you can’t help but smile.
When you’re feeling stressed or rushed, why not listen to this track and loosen up a bit? It will surely give you the courage to look ahead and start walking forward.

Slow BalladImawano Kiyoshirō

Kiyoshiro Imawano, who formed RC Succession, is such a pivotal figure in rock that he’s often called the King of Rock.
Yet at his core he was also a soul singer, deeply influenced by soul and blues.
You can hear the influence of Otis Redding in his vocal style, and he even recreated the stagecraft of the Godfather of Soul, James Brown, in his live shows.
In 1992, he released the album “Memphis,” featuring Booker T.
& the M.G.’s, who had been Otis Redding’s backing band.

Among Kiyoshiro Imawano’s many cheer-up songs, the especially popular “Ameagari no Yozora ni” might be a bit tricky to sing at karaoke.
But if you do sing it, it’s sure to get everyone fired up, and it will almost certainly lift your spirits.
Definitely give it a try.
