Famous as the trackmaker for Perfume, any Japanese person has likely heard his sound at least once.

His commitment to continually exploring various genres with techno at the core has earned him respect from DJs both in Japan and abroad.

As everyone knows, Denki Groove is Japan’s flagship techno duo.

One of its members, Takkyu Ishino, is also active as a DJ.

He released his first solo album, “DOVE LOVES DUB,” in 1995, and from around that time he reportedly became more proactive with his solo work.

He began performing not only in Japan but also abroad, and in 1998 he took the stage at Love Parade, once the largest outdoor techno music festival held in Germany.

He’s an artist who enjoys great popularity both at home and overseas.

He is a Japan-born DJ based overseas who could be called a techno god.

Active since the 1990s, he has continually brought Japanese techno to the world.

His activities at the time made him a true pioneer of Japanese techno and influenced many DJs.

He also made his first appearance at ULTRA JAPAN in 2014 and continues to draw attention to this day.

DJ Matsunaga, active in Japan’s hip-hop scene, is known as a member of the duo Creepy Nuts.

They made their major debut with Sony Music in 2017 and have captivated many fans with their distinctive sound.

DJ Matsunaga’s exceptional DJ skills and track-making abilities create a broad musicality that transcends the boundaries of hip-hop.

In 2019, he won the battle category at the DMC WORLD DJ CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS, one of the world’s largest DJ competitions.

In 2020, he successfully performed at the Nippon Budokan, and the album “Katsute Tensai Datta Oretachi e” garnered significant attention.

More recently, he has worked on anime theme songs, further expanding his influence.

Beyond music, he also appears on television and radio, and his approachable personality has made him popular.

After returning to Japan, he pursued a solo career, developing sophisticated lounge and electronic sounds and leading the music movement of the ’90s.

Through activities such as METAFIVE, the group he formed with Ryuichi Sakamoto and others, he has continuously presented highly refined works that fuse art and music, and he continues to command immense respect from top creators both in Japan and abroad.
