Jinmenusagi is the rapper who changed the perception that internet rappers aren’t cool.

Until he came onto the scene, there was this vibe that “internet rapper = lame,” but his overwhelming skill put an end to that.

People often say the underground is the strongest, but honestly, these days the internet rappers are the real heavy hitters.

His track “opium feat.

Jin Dogg” is a masterpiece packed with everything that makes him so compelling.

DON’T STOPSUIKEN

SUIKEN「DON’T STOP!」PV (High Quality) (OFFICIAL)
DON'T STOPSUIKEN

Released in 2010, this track is included on SUIKEN’s fourth album.

SUIKEN is well known as an MC from NMU, but he’s especially recognized for his rapid-fire, machine-gun-style rap.

Because he keeps rhyming without a break, it’s a karaoke killer where you can’t tell when he’s taking a breath.

Another notable feature is the incorporation of guitar sounds, setting it apart from conventional tracks that rely solely on record-based production.

QUEEN’s SanctuaryHipunoshisumaiku -D.R.B

As a music-origin character rap project, Hypnosis Mic -D.R.B- captivates fans through a wide-ranging media mix.

Released in September 2025, this track was newly written as the theme song for the stage production “Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle-.” Its aggressive sound—where rock and rap collide intensely—cranks up the energy.

The lyrics, infused with defiance against an unreasonable world and a strong will to uphold one’s ideals, may resonate with anyone fighting their own battles day to day.

Featuring powerful choral parts by the female cast, it’s a dramatic work that leaves a strong impact.

Assassinralph

Assassinralph

A track influenced by UK drill, defined by its hard-hitting beat and razor-sharp, electrifying flow.

The lyrics, steeped in ralph’s distinctive worldview, brim with pride in his own skills and lifestyle.

Paired with the aggressive sound, it’s a song that pulls you in deeper as you listen.

Released in August 2024, this work has been praised for bringing a fresh breeze to Japan’s hip-hop scene.

It’s a full-on banger that makes you want to crank up the volume!

In My LifeSALU

SALU, who hails from Sapporo, debuted in 2012.

Some of you may have discovered him through his collaborations with SKY-HI or his participation in Shota Shimizu’s tracks.

“In My Life” feels like it carries the wish to acknowledge each other just as we are, saying, “This is my life.” You only live once! It’s easy to listen to even if you’re not familiar with hip-hop, and I highly recommend it.

SALU’s smooth flow has a warmth to it, and it gently casts a soft light on the state of the world—where there are excessive reactions and invisible enemies that are very much a sign of our times.

DNA feat. Kohjiya, PUNPEEBIM

Riding a laid-back beat, the soulful lyrics unfold.

Featured on BIM’s mini-album “busy,” this track was released in July 2024.

It sings of everyday life and the journey he’s taken so far, and listening to it makes your heart swell.

Alongside BIM, the flows from Kohjiya and PUNPEE intertwine exquisitely, leaving a lasting impression.

It’s perfect both for a change of pace and for boosting your motivation.

Highly recommended not only for hip-hop fans but also for those who don’t usually listen to rap.

It seems like a great companion for a drive or a song to wake up to in the morning.
