NOT FOUNDSexy Zone

Sexy Zone, also affectionately known as “Sekuzo,” is a five-member group that debuted in 2011.
When they first debuted, they had a fresh, youthful cuteness, but since then they’ve increasingly showcased a cool, mature appeal.
Their 2020 release “NOT FOUND” was used as the theme song for the drama “Babel Kusakyou,” starring Fuma Kikuchi.
From the sound on up, traces of sophistication are sprinkled throughout.
The lyrics are passionate and convey a certain strength as well.
It’s also a song with elements of an encouraging anthem.
Peppermint candyKinKi Kids

Released in August 2003, this is KinKi Kids’ 18th single.
Chosen as the theme song for the TBS drama “Moto Kare” starring Tsuyoshi Domoto, it’s a gem of a love ballad where poetic lyrics by Takashi Matsumoto beautifully meld with the clear, luminous melodies crafted by Nordic composers.
While apologizing for past mistakes, the lyrics quietly sing of unwavering love for one’s destined partner, using the fragile motif of a candy to express both the sweetness and the ache of romance.
The single topped the Oricon weekly chart, sold a cumulative 388,000 copies, and ranked 13th on the year-end chart.
It’s a classic that presents a mature, romantic world, highlighted by the duo’s perfectly blended harmonies.
Midwinter Shooting StarNEWS

The song “Mafuyū no Nagareboshi” is included on the album ‘pacific.’ A re-recorded version of this track is featured on the single ‘LPS,’ released in 2018—eleven years after the album came out in 2007.
Although the group’s lineup has changed since 2007, it’s nice to compare both versions and hear how the song is performed more than a decade apart.
Yesterday’sTOKIO

A song that begins with an introspective scene—gazing at a motionless swing in a quiet park.
In truth, its theme is a powerful story of rebirth, overcoming the past and stepping into the future.
This track was included on the classic album “YESTERDAY & TODAY,” released in February 2000, and it also became the theme song for the popular TV show “Gachinko!”.
When you’re struggling at a turning point in life, the song’s dramatic progression and band sound will surely give you a push forward.
Longing for AndalusiaAndarushia Yunitto

Andalusian Dreams is a track included on Masahiko Kondo’s 2006 tribute album MATCHY TRIBUTE.
The “Andalusia Unit” that performs this song was a group formed by Noriyuki Higashiyama of Shonentai, Koichi Domoto of KinKi Kids, Tsubasa Imai of Tackey & Tsubasa, and Akira Akasaka of Hikaru GENJI.
The song was originally a solo number by Masatoshi Mashima, guitarist of THE BLUE HEARTS.
Masahiko Kondo later released his own version as well.
Even now, some members of the Andalusia Unit and other Johnny’s artists perform it at events such as countdown live shows.
Sorry, JulietYamashita Tomohisa

“Gomen ne Juliet” is a solo number by Tomohisa Yamashita from his time in NEWS.
It is included on NEWS’s 2007 album “pacific.” Yamashita himself wrote the lyrics and composed the music.
It’s a sad love song modeled after Romeo and Juliet.
Fans were reportedly surprised by this song—despite his handsome looks that make it seem like he’d never have trouble with women, he wrote such a dark love song!
Chance to ChangeHey! Say! JUMP

“Chance to Change” is Hey! Say! JUMP’s second single.
It was selected as the image song for the Volleyball World Final Qualifier.
The track brims with the early Hey! Say! JUMP vibe—youthful, refreshing, and full of debut-era freshness.
