Iconic Johnny’s songs from the 2000s: nostalgic hits that bring back memories (21–30)
AMBITIOUS JAPAN!TOKIO

This is the song “AMBITIOUS JAPAN!” produced as a tie-in for JR Central.
The title was also used as JR Central’s slogan, and stickers reading “AMBITIOUS JAPAN!” were placed on the sides of the lead cars of the 700 Series Shinkansen.
The campaign slogan first changed to “AMBITIOUS JAPAN! Nozomi will come true,” and later to “AMBITIOUS JAPAN! Nozomi is always there.” In addition, the melody of the A section is used as the chime at terminal stations, and the chorus melody is used as the chime at intermediate stations, serving as the onboard chimes for Shinkansen trains.
I can’t love anyone but you anymore.KinKi Kids

As pioneering representatives of Kansai-born Johnny’s groups, the idol duo KinKi Kids have continued to assert a solid presence both as a group and as individuals.
Released in June 2000, this song is a wistful number chosen as the theme for the NTV drama “The City Where Angels Disappeared.” The harmony of lyrics that vow eternal love and a beautiful melody truly resonates.
Centered on piano and strings, the slow-tempo arrangement seems to gently accompany those carrying a bittersweet longing.
It’s an emotional love song, perfect for looking back on memories with someone special.
From zero to oneKAT-TUN

Zero kara Ichi e, a high-velocity rock tune written and composed by Ikimono-gakari’s Yoshiki Mizuno.
It’s an anthem that fuses KAT-TUN’s signature coolness with passionate emotion, giving you the courage to break through the status quo and take that first step.
Released as a digital-only single in October 2022, it was later included on the album Fantasia.
The track was also selected as the image song for Nippon TV’s professional baseball broadcasts “DRAMATIC BASEBALL 2022” and as the theme for “Going! Sports & News.” Its appeal lies in a powerful sound that seems to capture the very tension and intensity of sports.
It’s guaranteed to give you a strong push in make-or-break moments or when you’re ready to take on a new challenge.
Lion HeartSMAP

This is “Lion Heart,” a love ballad by SMAP, a hugely popular idol group beloved by people of all ages and genders that sadly disbanded in 2016.
The song was used as the theme for the TV drama “Food Fight,” starring group member Tsuyoshi Kusanagi, and it drew attention when it was released around the same time that fellow member Takuya Kimura announced his marriage.
It remains a popular choice often sung for proposals and at weddings.
Fight Songarashi

The lyrics were written by all the members of Arashi, and the composition was done by Kazunari Ninomiya.
It was included as the B-side to Arashi’s 18th single, “Love so sweet.” Even 10 years later, it’s still often performed at concerts and is a song deeply loved by fans.
