Cavity Prevention Day Craft

Let’s create a craft project for Cavity Prevention Day on June 4.
Draw a large face on construction paper, or paste a face cut out of construction paper.
Around it, paste toothbrushes and cups made by cutting out origami or construction paper to make a perfect piece for Cavity Prevention Day.
On the face, try to show teeth that have become white and clean after brushing.
By creating artwork of clean teeth, children’s awareness of tooth brushing will surely improve.
Let’s make it with the determination, “We won’t get cavities!”
[Birthday Party] Born in June

Let’s give the birthday kids a small present.
How about some balloon art with a few different motifs prepared? The birthday child can choose a motif and their favorite balloon color, and we’ll make it right in front of them.
You could also practice balloon art with motifs that feel like June! Children will be thrilled with a gift made just for them—they’ll surely treasure it.
Watching the balloon art being made won’t bore the other kids, either.
It’ll be a birthday party everyone can enjoy.
[Birthday Party] Going Out with a Magic Umbrella

How about having the birthday child dance in front of everyone with a June-themed item—a cute umbrella motif? Children who are four or five years old will likely enjoy it and dance with confidence.
It’s like a little recital for the birthday kids—so adorable.
The children watching will also have fun, admiring the birthday child who’s become a bit more grown-up and getting captivated by the dance.
It will take a little practice, but that’s exactly why, after the party, they’ll feel, “I did it!” and “That was fun!”

Let’s go on a hunt for a special treasure! Here are some treasure hunt game ideas.
These ideas will give kids an exciting, heart-pounding adventure! Follow clues to find the hidden treasure while exploring the playground or the room.
It’s so much fun to team up with friends and search, thinking, “Maybe it’s hidden over there!” As a variation, you can hide treasures and give out stickers or small gifts each time a treasure is found to make it feel extra special.
It’s a wonderful game to play with friends and teachers, enjoying the sense of accomplishment together!
Flower bed making
Creating a flowerbed is a great opportunity to get your hands in the soil and discover insects and other creatures.
In spring, try replanting the flowers in the bed together with the children! Choose a sunny spot with good air circulation and start planting.
Flowers like marigolds and sunflowers are especially hardy, making them easy and recommended for kids to grow.
When the children are planting, be sure to carefully check that there are no glass shards in the soil.
Assigning roles such as a watering duty might help nurture a sense of responsibility through caring for the plants.
Let’s head out with a field guide!

Why not head out for a walk with a field guide in hand? In spring, you can spot things like flowers in full bloom and insects becoming more active.
Take your field guide along and look up the flowers and insects you find along the way.
Discover daisies in the flowerbeds and ladybugs on trees for a delightful time.
Children can show each other the bugs they catch, pick flowers, and find natural treasures unique to spring, helping them feel the season.
With so many flowers and insects to discover, the kids are sure to be thrilled.
[For Ages 4–5] Brushing-Teeth Crocodile

June 4th is Cavity Prevention Day! It’s the perfect time to work extra hard on brushing—and a great craft for this season is making a chomp-chomp animal toy.
Cut a tissue box in half so it can bend, and cover the outside with construction paper in the color of the animal you like.
Make parts like eyes and ears from construction paper or origami paper and attach them.
For the mouth that opens and closes, stick on small white pieces of paper to look like teeth, and you’re done! It’s recommended to add cavity marks to a few of the teeth.
This craft is aimed at children aged 4 to 5.
Let them make it and play with it, and learn the importance of brushing their teeth properly on their own.
