Middle schoolers vs. college students! Can you win?
In this video, college students and middle schoolers face off to see who can answer riddles faster.
Can you keep up with this pace? The college students might have a habit of overthinking their answers, while the middle schoolers rely on their intuition.
Moving spot-the-difference

This is a spot-the-difference game with moving Hina dolls.
Since it’s a video-based spot-the-difference, you’ll time out quickly if you’re not watching carefully.
There are also versions with hints, so why not use them as a reference? Competing with friends is fun, too.
Give it a try!
Apparently, you can show off a smug face if you solve it.

Starting off hard from the first question, huh? A job that seems like a scary doctor but isn’t actually a doctor—what is it? The answer is “pharmacist.” It’s not a “yakuza” (gangster) or a “doctor,” so it’s a “yakuza-i shi”… get it? Try quizzing your friends and enjoy showing off when they get stumped!
Loosen up your thinking

Before you try various quizzes and riddles, please watch this video.
It’s a good idea to do the exercises in this video to loosen up your thinking, and then tackle the others.
It should give your brain an even better workout.
Since thinking itself stimulates the brain, take your time and think things through.
What is something that won’t break no matter how much you try to break it?
Have you ever had the experience of dropping something and breaking it? As the saying goes, “Anything with form will eventually break,” and glass or pottery will most likely shatter if you drop it.
But there are things in this world that don’t break even when you split them! In fact, they aren’t objects.
If you’re an elementary school student, isn’t there something you split during class? With that hint, you’ve probably figured it out.
The answer is “division.”

What gets hotter as it gets colder?
@igosso.youtube You're a genius if you get it!TranslationTrick quizIgossou

This puzzle is tricky because there are many possible answers.
Things that get hotter as it gets colder… You might be thinking of hand warmers or clothing, but the correct answer is something else.
First, try picturing a winter scene.
List a few things you associate with it, and think about “getting hot” as the keyword.
Also pay close attention to the fact that it’s written in hiragana! The answer is something everyone knows, and you’re likely to see it at least once in summer.
Here’s a hint: it’s something that melts in heat.
There are 5 candies. If you lick one, how many are there?
@igosso.youtube♪ Original Song – Igossou [YouTube] – Igossou [YouTube]
It seems like a question that would trip up adults more than children.
When you read the problem statement, you instinctively want to treat it like an arithmetic problem and think, “5 – 1 = 4, so the answer is 4!” But remember, it’s a trick question.
The hint to solving it is that the candy wasn’t given to someone else, nor did it disappear.
If you think about how many candies you have after you lick one, you should arrive at the correct answer.
An elementary school student with a flexible mind might solve it right away!
