Riddles for middle schoolers (11–20)
If you take it seriously, you’ll get tripped up.

There are so many questions that just make you want to jump in with a snappy retort.
The answer to “Which prefecture borders the most others?” was so shocking it left me speechless.
You might feel like giving up halfway through before finishing all the questions.
I recommend taking them lightly and answering casually.
Fun riddles you can enjoy!

This video features many unique questions, such as “Who turns dads and moms into grandpas and grandmas?” None of the questions are particularly mean-spirited.
Most of them are humorous and can be approached quite straightforwardly.
They seem like puzzles that even adults would enjoy.
Advanced riddles

The riddle in this video might be difficult.
It requires a bit of knowledge.
It’s advanced, but solvable if you know it.
When I saw the answer to the question “If you’re under a hole without thinking, what would you see?”, I couldn’t help but go, ‘Ah, I see!’
Ultra-difficult trick quiz

Are you bad at trick questions? I couldn’t even get the classic one—“Which is heavier, 1 kg of iron or 1 kg of cotton?”—I just kept groaning and never reached the right answer.
I’m the type who overthinks and self-destructs, assuming there must be some hidden twist just because it’s presented as a question.
I can’t handle normal trick questions, so if they’re labeled “super hard,” then… As for those tougher trick questions, the rising YouTuber Chonmage Kozou—who suddenly appeared with the greeting “Hikiniku desu!”—is enjoying them too.
Elementary schoolers who don’t have much time, give them a try!
Witty riddles

This riddle relies heavily on wordplay.
It doesn’t use any difficult vocabulary, so even a middle schooler should be able to find the answer easily.
It’s important to think straightforwardly and try answering without overthinking it.
If you twist it too much, you might end up with an off-the-mark answer.
Odd one out letter

It’s the kind of puzzle that almost makes your eyes feel dazzled, and as you work through it, it gets even harder.
It seems like it could really tire your eyes, but it’s said to be effective for building concentration.
Since you can boost your focus while solving the problems, it seems quite beneficial.

A brain-teasing problem

There are many problems that can be thought about from multiple angles, with puns or clever wordplay.
For example, the question “Among the numbers 1 to 13, which number is a place where you can’t park a car?” had an answer that made me nod in agreement when I saw it.
It struck me as the kind of joke a rakugo storyteller might tell.
Do you know the answer?
