Ca Va?Bikkeburanka

If you’re looking for a perfect dance tune for summer, Vickeblanka’s “Ca Va?” is highly recommended.

The song was also featured in a Spotify TV commercial, so many people have probably heard it coming from their TVs.

The intro feels like a bittersweet ballad, but then it shifts dramatically into an upbeat, dance-ready rhythm.

The Old Man and the SeaYorushika

Yorushika’s “The Old Man and the Sea” was created as a work inspired by Ernest Hemingway’s Nobel Prize-winning novel The Old Man and the Sea.

Released as a single in 2021, it was used as the commercial song for Vanish Standard Inc.’s service “STAFF START.” The calmly played band sound gives the track a sense of sorrow and solitude.

The lyrics resonate with the idea—akin to the novel’s story—that while effort doesn’t always pay off, we shouldn’t give up and should live strongly.

It’s a song I especially hope junior high school students, who have a long life ahead of them, will listen to.

A classic hit by Sandaime that everyone knows! Since its 2015 release, it’s become a staple summer EDM song.

It just makes you want to head to karaoke right now and sing it with your friends.

Be sure to bring a Bluetooth speaker and listen to it outside, too.

You and Semi-BlueHatsuboshi Gakuen

A refreshing song that colors the summer of youth has arrived.

Created by First Star Academy, the track is characterized by its bright and energetic melody.

The harmonies woven by the three vocalists will set listeners’ hearts dancing.

Released in July 2024 and performed at the School Idol Master event “Midsummer Summer Live Fest,” it reportedly sent fans into a frenzy.

The song is filled with memories of summer by the sea and the importance of friendship.

Youth really does pass in the blink of an eye, doesn’t it? That’s why I feel it carries a message to cherish the present moment.

Listen to it with friends or someone you like, and it’s sure to become a wonderful memory.

The Summer of BeginningsŌhara Yuiko

The theme song for the feature film Teasing Master Takagi-san is Yuiko Ohara’s Hajimari no Natsu (The Beginning of Summer).

It’s a fresh yet wistful track that perfectly matches the manga’s story about middle school romance.

The song is included on her 2022 mini-album Island Memories and marks her fifth work related to the series, following her contributions of theme and insert songs for the TV run.

With its charming blend of acoustic guitar tones and an innocent vocal performance, it’s a song you’ll want to hear when you go see the movie with your boyfriend or girlfriend.
