K-POP Greatest Songs & Best Hits Collection [Latest & Classic Popular Songs + Editor’s Select] (161–170)
CupidFIFTY FIFTY

“Cupid” is at the top of the K-pop songs I especially want to recommend from 2023.
It’s gained global popularity, even entering the U.S.
Billboard Hot 100.
In Korea, it’s become a long-running hit in a sort of reimported way thanks to its worldwide success.
The English “Twin Ver.” has been the bigger chart hit.
With its familiar, beautiful melody line and retro vibe, it’s the kind of song that will instantly draw in certain listeners.
There’s a touch of ennui to it, yet it leaves you wrapped in a happy feeling that’s very pleasant.
The members’ harmonies are also wonderful—such a lovely track.
Here I Am AgainYerin Baek

A must-listen female singer for City Pop fans, Baek Yerin.
This is the main song from Part 4 of the OST for the drama “Crash Landing on You,” which began airing in December 2019.
It’s a majestic ballad that gradually swells, singing of love—how even in the cold of winter, it isn’t cold as long as you’re by my side, and “I’ll always be here.” Be sure to enjoy it along with the drama.
The fifth seasonOH MY GIRL

OH MY GIRL is a South Korean girl group that debuted in 2015.
“The Fifth Season” is a dance song they released in 2019.
While K-pop is often associated with dance tracks that have an American vibe, this song has a J-pop-like feel.
It’s easy for Japanese listeners to enjoy, so it’s also recommended for people who are new to K-pop.
UNFORGIVEN (feat. Nile Rodgers)LE SSERAFIM

The title track from their first full album, released in May 2023.
It’s a mid-tempo dance number that sings about the conviction of “I go my own way” without getting swept along, and it shines with LE SSERAFIM’s signature powerful performance.
The chemistry with guitar work by disco master Nile Rodgers is also a highlight.
The lyrics feel like they’re diving into a new world, and their expression even gives a reassuring sense that they’ll take you along with them.
LE SSERAFIM is simply incredibly cool.
ATE THATYOUNG POSSE

Released in August 2024, this track by the up-and-coming girl group YOUNG POSSE fuses hip-hop and electropop, embodying the sound of contemporary K-pop.
The lyrics brim with youth and confidence, delivering a direct, impactful message to listeners.
Its dancefloor-ready vibe makes it perfect for party scenes.
On release day, they held a showcase event in Seoul, where they performed the new song for a large crowd of fans.
The members themselves took part in the production, emphasizing cohesive music and visuals.
It’s a track packed with YOUNG POSSE’s appeal—be sure to check it out.
