Theme songs and insert songs from the Kamen Rider series

Introducing the theme songs from the Kamen Rider series, one of Japan’s iconic heroes alongside Ultraman.

Kamen Rider is a TV show that has been airing since 1971, featuring stories in which the Riders battle the monstrous agents of the evil organization Shocker.

More than 100 Riders have appeared so far, each with their own unique fighting style.

They’re called “Riders” because they ride motorcycles—an idea that originated during the 1971 planning phase when the programming director at Mainichi Broadcasting System was an avid motorcycle enthusiast.

Now, please enjoy the Kamen Rider theme songs in this playlist.

Kamen Rider Theme and Insert Songs (21–30)

Fight! Kamen Rider V3 (Hiroshi Miyauchi, Ichiro Mizuki, Masato Shimon)
Fight! Kamen Rider V3Miyauchi Hiroshi, Za Suwingāzu

This is the theme song of Kamen Rider V3, broadcast in 1973.

Hiroshi Miyauchi, who plays the lead role of Shiro Kazami, sings it.

It powerfully conveys V3’s burning desire for revenge.

With prominent choral parts by The Swingers layered throughout, the song has a richly textured, powerful finish.

Set up! Kamen Rider XMizuki Ichirō

Kamen Rider X Opening Theme 'Set Up! Kamen Rider X' / Ichiro Mizuki
Set up! Kamen Rider XMizuki Ichirō

This is the theme song of Kamen Rider X, which aired in 1974.

The lyrics describe the features of Kamen Rider X.

With its fiery melody, recurring horn interjections, and strings weaving through the gaps, it’s a masterpiece that builds excitement whether you like it or not.

Song of Kamen Rider StrongerMizuki Ichirō

This is the theme song of Kamen Rider Stronger, broadcast in 1975.

Ichiro Mizuki’s powerful vocals match the aura of Stronger, a warrior proclaimed to be the strongest.

It’s a well-known anecdote that although a different theme song was considered at first, it was changed to this more striking piece.

Climax JumpAAA

This is the theme song of Kamen Rider Den-O, which aired in 2007.

It’s performed by the idol group AAA.

The melody, which carries a hint of melancholy within its sense of speed, is a perfect match for Den-O—a series that appears relentlessly cheerful on the surface but actually tells a rather hard-hitting story.

Lonely Kamen RiderShimon Masato

This is the late ending theme of Kamen Rider, broadcast in 1971.

It’s a song that relentlessly sings of Kamen Rider’s lonely struggle and sorrowful battles.

A masterpiece packed to the brim with the aesthetics of the solitary hero’s fight from the Showa era.
