[Kantai Collection BGM] KanColle’s famous and popular tracks (21–30)
All ship girls, charge!Usami Hiroshi / Okoshi Kaori

This track was used in Kantai Collection (KanColle) during the 2013 Summer Event “South Sea Area Assault Reconnaissance!” as the daytime sortie battle music and as the boss battle theme on the night battle maps.
It was also played during both regular battles and boss battles in the Autumn 2013 event “Decisive Battle! Break Through Ironbottom Sound!” The piece is an arrangement by Kaori Ogoe of “Fleet Decisive Battle,” composed by Hiroshi Usami and included in the 2013 release, the Kaisen Collection Pack.
Its powerful orchestral arrangement is perfect for boss fights!
Night Ambush BattleŌkoshi Kaori

This piece, Ambush Night Battle, was used in the limited-time event Sortie! Naval Transport Operation, which began in November 2015.
It’s a track where a beautiful piano melody sparkles amid ominous strings.
The synth-led main theme that comes in halfway through is heartbreakingly moving, and the way the synth bass coils around it is irresistible.
There’s also a version with vocals, so why not try comparing the two?

Combined Fleet, WestwardŌkoshi Kaori

This track was played during the first half boss battles of the 2015 Spring Event “Operation No.
11” commemorating the second anniversary of KanColle’s service launch.
It’s a mixed arrangement of two pieces that were also featured in the same event: “30th Destroyer Division, Prepare to Engage!” and “The Battle of the Mutsuki-class Destroyers.” The blend of spring-like tones from traditional Japanese instruments with electric guitar and hard-hitting drum beats makes for a very cool wa-rock style song!
Blizzard, sortie!Ōkoshi Kaori

This track is the music that plays during the route battles in the latter half of the 2015 winter event “Counterattack! Assault on Truk Anchorage.” It’s an arrangement of the route theme from the first half of the event, “Special Type Destroyer.” The slick, slithering bassline and roaring electric guitar are cool and striking.
Amid that, beautiful strings and trumpet take turns carrying the main melody, making it feel like such a waste that it wasn’t used for a boss battle!
The I-class belowŌkoshi Kaori

This piece is an arrangement of the track “Naval Convoy Battle,” which was originally used on a different stage.
On the stage where “Naval Convoy Battle” plays, all enemies are submarines, whereas on the stage where “I-Boat Beneath Our Eyes” plays, you can’t even reach the boss unless you use a submarine yourself—highlighting a contrasting difference between the stages.
In “I-Boat Beneath Our Eyes,” a beautiful, grand orchestral sound is interwoven with bubbly, gurgling textures, creating a composition that truly evokes a submarine’s perspective.
Those who abhor warŌkoshi Kaori

This track opens with beautiful choral work.
It’s the boss battle BGM for E-4 in the event area “Interception! The Second Battle of Malaya,” which began in August 2016.
It’s a grand composition that fuses the timbre of strings with a hard rock sound.
Just listening to it gets you fired up! The chorus parts are sung by the composer herself, Kaori Ohkoshi.
Operation MIŌkoshi Kaori

The BGM used during the route battles of the Summer 2014 event “AL Operation/MI Operation.” It’s an arrangement of “Hiryuu’s Counterattack.” While retaining the refreshing, clear feel that evokes soaring through the skies, it’s become a more intense and weighty piece.
The piano that comes in here and there is really cool, isn’t it? It’s a track with plenty to listen for, showcasing the strengths of each instrument.
