PuzzleKanjani∞

It is included on their third album, “PUZZLE,” released on April 15, 2009.

The song was created at the request of Ryo Nishikido, a big fan of Kazuyoshi Saito, and it portrays them flipping through the album of their memories.

The lyrics were written based on old stories Kanjani Eight shared with Saito, packing in many of their episodes—like getting into a fight at a park and making up at a nearby café.

This is their memorable debut single, released on September 22, 2004.

It was released earlier, on August 25, as a Kansai-exclusive.

It drew attention for its unusual flavor for an idol group, leaning into enka.

Based on the Kawachi ondo, it’s an innovative track that incorporates rap into enka.

At the 10th-anniversary event “Jussai,” it was performed first, with the members arriving on a festival float.

Shibutani Subaru’s vocals are noted for matching enka perfectly.

It is included on the first full album “KJ1 F·T·O,” released on March 15, 2006.

This is one of Kanjani Eight’s signature band songs, a hot rock number symbolized by Tadayoshi Ohkura’s intense drumming.

Subaru Shibutani’s fierce shouts are another highlight, and it’s a track that instantly heats up the venue at concerts.

A song by Kanjani Eight released in April 2011 as the ending theme for the film Crayon Shin-chan: The Storm Called The Golden Spy.

Its powerful rock sound and heartwarming lyrics, centered on friendship and hope, resonate deeply with listeners.

Throughout the track, you can feel the desire to cherish bonds with those who matter most.

Perfectly matched to the world of Crayon Shin-chan, this song is loved by a wide range of people, from children to adults.

Give it a listen when you want to feel the bond with your friends or need an energy boost.

OnigishiSUPER EIGHT

Written by Yu Yokoyama and composed by Shota Yasuda, this is a song by the SUPER EIGHT subunit, the Three Brothers.

It’s a lyrical ballad that sings of memories with a mother and heartfelt gratitude.

The plain, straightforward words really strike a chord.

Originally included on the bonus CD of the album “KJ1 F·T·O,” released in March 2006, it has long been known among fans as a hidden gem.

In 2025, the members performed it on 24-Hour TV as a cheer for Yokoyama, who served as the runner, moving many viewers.

This piece may prompt you to reaffirm your feelings for someone important.

It’s a must-listen even for those who only know the group for their cheerful image.

We wish to a ridiculous extent.Nishikido Ryo

Ryo Nishikido’s solo track “Abareru Gurai Bokura wa Negau” is a tense ballad expressed with only piano accompaniment.

Seated loosely in a chair with a relaxed vibe, he nonetheless delivers a full, powerful vocal performance that’s astonishing.

His bona fide strength as a vocalist adds persuasiveness to the song.

I think his appeal comes across fully, even to those who aren’t Nishikido fans.

No way—I've fallen in love.Kyanjani∞

This is a bittersweet unrequited-love song that comically portrays a girl’s complex feelings.

After hearing a rumor from a friend that “he” was at a park with another woman, the protagonist tries desperately to brush it off, yet becomes so flustered she starts to sweat.

Many listeners will likely relate to how she’s bewildered by feelings she hadn’t even noticed in herself and, despite putting on a brave face, genuinely cherishes him.

Released by Canjani∞ in May 2023, the song features lyrics by Yasushi Akimoto and choreography by TAKAHIRO, well known from the Sakamichi Series.

At the dome tour that December, where it was performed for the first time, the group delighted fans with a surprise appearance in women’s attire.
