We GoKetsumeishi

A track included on Ketsumeishi’s 13th album, Ketsunopolis 13, released in January 2024.
It was reportedly written as the theme song for the drama Jeanne’s Judgment.
The song was released digitally in advance of the album.
Throughout, it has a pleasant groove that imparts a gently heartwarming atmosphere.
The vocal range and the melody themselves don’t demand particularly advanced singing technique or a wide range, so in that sense it’s a song that should be quite easy for anyone to sing.
However, precisely because of that, if the relaxed, expansive groove is lost in the vocal delivery, the song can fall flat.
When you sing it, pay close attention to how you feel the rhythm and the beat.
Encounters are seeds of growthKetsumeishi

Included on the 2011 album “Ketsunopolis 7,” this song looks back on the many encounters with people the artist has experienced.
As the title suggests, the lyrics—saying that the person they are today exists because of the people they’ve met—are truly moving.
Although the track has a relatively relaxed tempo, it features many rap sections throughout, with fast-paced lyrics, so that point requires attention.
However, because there aren’t many dramatic shifts in intonation, once you learn the melody line and the rhythm of the rap, it should be easier to sing.
Ruts (Wadachi)Kobukuro

Wadachi is an up-tempo song that fills listeners with excitement.
Released in 2001, it was also included on the indie-era album Root of my mind.
Its lyrics encourage you when times are tough and give you the strength to move forward toward tomorrow—they’re truly uplifting.
The melody is easy to remember, which makes it easier to sing.
Plus, it’s lively and perfect for singing along with others, so even those not used to karaoke can enjoy singing it with friends!
First NightYorushika

Yorushika is a duo known for their relaxed musicality and profound themes and lyrics.
If you’re a young person these days, you’ve probably heard their songs at least once.
Among Yorushika’s works, the track I especially recommend is First Night.
The song has a quintessentially Yorushika feel—ennui-laden and dreamlike.
While it leans a bit toward the higher register, the vocal line doesn’t span a wide range, so even those who aren’t confident singers should find it easy to sing.
Because you can do it someday, you can do it today.Nogizaka 46

The group’s 19th single, “Itsuka Dekiru Kara Kyou Dekiru,” was selected as the theme song for the film Asahinagu, in which members appeared.
It was also used as the CM song for Haruyama Shoji’s “Regional Support Festival.” As the title suggests, its message—act on your ideas right away—really hits home.
With a narrow vocal range and no large melodic leaps, it’s approachable even for those who aren’t confident singers.
It’s a refreshing pop tune that feels great to sing over a clear, transparent ensemble.
Shaved Ice Unrequited LoveNogizaka 46

This song has a title that makes you go “Huh?” at first glance.
It’s included on Type-C of Nogizaka46’s second album, Sorezore no Isu, released in 2016.
It likens the fragility of unrequited love to shaved ice melting away, portraying the aching heart of a love that will likely never come true—a love that won’t go smoothly.
The vocal range is very narrow, so as long as you adjust the key, people with any voice type can sing it comfortably from start to finish.
The lyrics can also be sung at a relatively unhurried pace, so among Nogizaka’s songs, it’s on the easier side for karaoke.
BarretteNogizaka 46

The 7th single “Barrette,” whose music video themed around “uniforms are the strongest” also made waves, features an ensemble reminiscent of Showa-era pop and a melancholy melody line—an arrangement that feels nostalgic yet fresh.
The key is low and the range isn’t wide, but you won’t capture the original atmosphere unless you sing tightly, so keep that in mind.
The melody flows at a relaxed pace with no rapid-fire lines, making it an easy number to tackle at karaoke.
