Born in 2000 and arguably one of today’s most talked-about singer-songwriters, Noshi is a multitalented artist who not only writes and performs her own songs but also handles arrangements and artwork.

While her name spread widely in 2024 thanks to the hit “Zenhōkō Bishōjo” (All-Directional Beautiful Girl), “Hatsukoi Killer,” released in May of the same year, also went viral for its exceptionally catchy sound—including the striking guitar riff in the intro—its skillful ensemble, and playful lyrics.

When singing it at karaoke, note that it’s not structured like a typical J-pop song with clearly divided A-melody, B-melody, and chorus.

Practice keeping the melodic lines from becoming too flat, and aim to deliver the rap-like sections rhythmically, coolly, and with effortless ease.

Deeper DeeperONE OK ROCK

ONE OK ROCK – Deeper Deeper [Official Music Video]

The 2013 release “Deeper Deeper.” The vocal range in this piece is from mid2B to hiB, so the overall range isn’t particularly wide.

However, since the tessitura is very high, male singers should take caution.

Additionally, the highest note, hiB, appears more than 40 times in total, so vocal stamina is required.

Fortunately, there are very few sustained high notes, so focus on cleanly executing each high-voice phrase one by one.

Re:makeONE OK ROCK

The classic song “Re:make,” released as ONE OK ROCK’s sixth single.

While ONE OK ROCK now showcases a wide range of musical styles, back then their sound was characterized by straight-ahead rock with touches of emo and hardcore.

This track falls into the latter category, featuring intense shouts in the chorus.

Although the range is fairly broad (mid1 B to hi B), the highest notes can be handled with a shouty mixed voice, so delicate vocals aren’t required.

The low notes only appear in a few spots, so it often feels narrower than the actual range.

However, there isn’t much room to lower the key, so the most important thing is to accurately identify your own optimal key.

Since starting their activities in 2018, Amenbo Plus surpassed 1.5 million subscribers on their official YouTube channel in 2023 and are currently thriving as hugely popular comedy YouTubers.

Their track “Kaihou Exercise,” released in 2023, was written and composed by Chibanyan, who is active as a DJ and producer.

Packed with baseball-themed jokes, it’s a fun, humor-filled song.

There’s nothing particularly difficult about singing it at karaoke, so go all-in—loose choreography and all—and get everyone who came to karaoke to join in the fun!

DOES 'Donten' (TV Tokyo anime 'Gintama' opening theme)

DOES is a rock band that’s gained popularity with their cool, understated melodies.

When it comes to anime songs and DOES, the first thing that comes to mind is Gintama, right? Their hit track Don’ten, released in 2008, is known in the anime community as a Gintama theme song.

While it brings the kind of energy you’d expect from rock, its vocal range is fairly narrow—mid1 B to mid2 F#—making it both easy to sing and perfect for getting the crowd going.

Definitely consider adding it to your repertoire.

A song with an exercise theme that will make you chuckle without thinking! It’s a track by Amenbo Plus, a YouTuber duo from Osaka, released in September 2024.

It even climbed to No.

11 on YouTube Music’s trending chart and became a hot topic.

This is the next entry in the series following their previous song “Kaihou Exercise,” and it’s simply a blast: upbeat dance music paired with delightfully nonsensical, addictive lyrics that mention things like baseball positions.

It’s a perfect number for karaoke when you want to laugh and get everyone hyped!

A parody cover of that famous movie theme song, brought to you by The Lethal Weapons! Aikid’s Japanese lyrics depict everyday mishaps we all go through—like commuting accidents or being short on cash at the end of the month—and they’re sure to put a smile on your face.

And Cyborg Joe’s powerful shouts make the protagonist’s bold (or is it?) charge into those hardships even more comical and exhilarating.

The track was pre-released in February 2022 and included on the album “Aikid and Cyborg Joe,” released the same month.

It’s the perfect song for when you want to clear your head without overthinking.

Crank it up and belt it out to your heart’s content!
