Tamaire with moving targets
Here’s a fun beanbag toss with a moving target that goes up and down.
Gather a trash bag, a hula hoop, and vinyl tape to make it.
Tape the trash bag onto the hula hoop.
Then attach vinyl tape to the hula hoop and hang it from a curtain rail.
After that, toss balls so they go through the hula hoop.
If an adult pulls on the vinyl tape to change the height or move it during play, it will get even more exciting! If you prepare several targets and use a large hall, many people can enjoy it together.
Balloon Tunnel Ball Toss
https://www.tiktok.com/@nana_asobi/video/7505350561341000967Let me introduce a colorful, spinning Balloon Tunnel Ball Toss.
Inflate the balloons and stick them together with double-sided tape to form a ring.
If you blow a hair dryer from below, the balloons will float in the air and spin around.
Try tossing balls through the gaps between the balloons and have fun! This might be perfect for small sports festivals or events held in limited spaces.
Since a hair dryer is used, please operate it under adult supervision and take care to prevent any risk of burns for children.
Ping-pong ball toss game

Here’s a ping-pong ball toss game you can enjoy even at an indoor mini sports festival.
It’s a fun activity that really livens things up.
Fix a clothespin to a pair of chopsticks, attach them together, then glue a bottle cap to the front.
Set a ping-pong ball in place and try to shoot it into a goal made from a paper cup.
Count how many balls go in—the person with the most wins.
This ping-pong ball toss lets you enjoy that sports-day feeling even in a limited indoor space.
Give it a try!
Panda Ball Toss with a Laundry Net

Here’s a panda ball-toss game using everyday laundry nets that will liven up your sports day.
Prepare a two-tiered laundry net for the basket section, a hot glue gun, hook-and-loop fasteners, and scissors.
Cut the two-tier laundry net with scissors and use the lower section.
Prepare large pieces of felt for the mesh area, and glue on the eyes, nose, and mouth to create the panda’s face.
Glue together felt pieces cut in half to form the mouth.
Prepare two milk cartons, fix them inside the mouth, and set them so balls can roll in smoothly.
Hang the finished panda on the wall and enjoy playing the ball-toss game!
Relay

Relays are the star event of a sports day! Since it’s a team sport where everyone passes a single baton, it’s recommended for older preschoolers, around the middle to senior classes.
That said, they’re still little kids, so some may end up crying partway through.
In those cases, please have the teacher support them and run alongside them.
If you use a circular baton instead of a stick, it’s easier for children to hold.

Bell-breaking race

In the bell-breaking race, you throw balls to break bells hanging overhead, similar to a beanbag toss.
When you succeed, the bell breaks open and confetti bursts out, and everyone cheers! If you’re making the bells by hand, though, adjusting their strength can be tricky.
If the adhesive is too strong, they won’t break easily, so once the event is underway, peel the glue a bit or give them a little help so they’ll break more readily.

Discover the fun of working together! Introducing ideas for a big puzzle challenge.
Many teachers may be unsure about parent–child events where guardians participate together.
This time, let’s try a puzzle that 2-year-old children and their guardians work on collaboratively.
What you’ll need are cards with random animals drawn on them, animal headpieces, and a puzzle made from cardboard.
Starting this for the first time on the day of the sports festival might make the children anxious, so it’s best to incorporate it into everyday activities for practice.
