An origami medal you can write a message on

A handmade gift that conveys warmth! Here are ideas for origami medals where you can write a message.
Ready-made medals are wonderful, but how about giving one that lets you record the growth and efforts you noticed in the children at that time? You’ll need origami paper, ribbon 2–3 cm wide, cellophane tape, and scissors.
Write a message with a pen in the center of the medal made from origami paper.
Adding a little illustration would make it even cuter!
First Star Medal

Let’s give the gift of a sparkling, one-of-a-kind little star! Here’s an idea for a “First Star” medal.
Star motifs often evoke positive images like happiness and hope because of their glittering shine, don’t they? This time, let’s make and give “First Star” medals to children.
You’ll need: star-shaped aluminum cups, a hot glue gun, beads and straws, ribbon, a photo of the child, laminate film, stickers, scissors, tape, double-sided tape, and a stapler.
If you put beads and other bits into the aluminum cup, it makes a fun rattling sound!
signboard
Signage is the decoration that serves as the face of any event.
Even simply displaying the event name in text fulfills a sign’s role, but it’s better to have decorations that raise participants’ excitement and catch spectators’ eyes, as that builds anticipation for the event.
For a sports day, for example, we recommend decorations that evoke the event—like drawings by the children, paper flowers, or pom-poms.
Since it’s the first thing everyone sees, it’s a decoration we hope you’ll create together from the planning stage, sharing ideas as a group.
Program
Many daycare centers and kindergartens hand out programs to parents and guardians.
Since it’s a great opportunity, why not create something original that they can enjoy looking back on later? Here are two big ideas to spark inspiration.
First, incorporate characters.
It could be fun to depict children’s favorite characters participating in the sports day.
Second, play with the shape of the program.
You could make it look like a camera, an animal, or even a scroll.
Use these ideas as a reference and create a wonderful program.
cheering flag
Cheering flags are what make a sports day even more fun.
Just carrying one in the entrance parade really boosts the feeling of taking part.
To make them, cut construction paper into triangles and draw pictures with crayons.
Depending on the age group, you can switch it up by using stickers instead.
Once that’s done, attach it to a straw and you’re finished.
If you change the color of the construction paper for each class, it creates a unified look.
Also, instead of cheering flags, threading them onto a string to make a garland is another great option.
class flag
Making a team flag really lifts everyone’s spirits, doesn’t it? It’s also fun to aim for originality in the design—writing everyone’s names from the class, featuring whatever’s trending right now, or even using the homeroom teacher’s face as a motif can be interesting.
On the day of the sports festival, let’s crank up the excitement by watching the team flags flutter in the wind!

My Gold Medal

During the sports day preparation period—or afterward as a way to look back on memories—making a “My Gold Medal” is also recommended.
The idea is to draw an illustration on a transparent film and layer it over aluminum foil to create a medal-like look.
Adding gold origami paper gives it an even more luxurious feel.
Finally, attach it to a self-portrait painted with paints or drawn with crayons to complete it.
You can also design the medal while reflecting on what you worked hard on and what you enjoyed.
