Water Balloon Splash Ball Toss

At a summer outdoor sports day, I highly recommend adding the “Water Balloon Splash Ball Toss”! Normally, ball toss games use fabric balls, but this version uses water balloons.
Of course, any that miss the basket will hit the ground and burst into a watery splash! But that’s exactly what makes it so fun.
In summer, getting wet isn’t too cold—if anything, it’s refreshing, right? Kids will surely love it.
Just wear swimsuits or water-friendly clothing so you’re fine even if you get soaked, and have a great time!
Hoop diving

This is a hula-hoop event that builds a sense of unity—not only between parents and children, but among everyone on the same team.
First, each team lines up in a single file, alternating parent and child, and holds hands.
Without letting go, they pass a hula-hoop from toe to fingertip, threading it over their bodies and on to the next person.
Teams race to see who can pass it all the way to the end the fastest.
It’s surprisingly tough—and it’s actually harder for adults to get through the hoop than for kids, which is part of the fun.
Cheer hard for your own team, of course, but for the opposing team too, and let’s all get excited and enjoy it together!
4-person 1-leg relay

This is an obstacle race recommended as a competition for parents, designed to be tackled in teams.
Parents form groups of four and work together to complete various missions.
After one lap of the course, they pass the baton to the next group of four.
You can customize the obstacles and missions set up on the course in many ways, and since it’s done in teams of four, it also serves as a great opportunity for parents to connect with one another.
Try incorporating it while exploring different variations.
PET bottle circuit
With its colorful look, it really lifts your spirits! Let me introduce an idea for a PET-bottle circuit.
All you need are 2-liter plastic bottles, tape, and paint.
Many people find it challenging to prepare all the equipment for circuit activities.
This idea is appealing because it makes use of plastic bottles, so there’s no need to buy new equipment.
Try creating a course where you walk across the tops of plastic bottles filled with brightly colored water, keeping your balance as you go!
Circuit to train the soles of the feet

Sharpen your senses! Here are some circuit ideas to train the soles of the feet.
Prepare cone cushions, yarn, decorative balls, craft glue or tape, a glue gun, construction paper, cleaning sponges, and round stones.
Attach each material to the construction paper by type.
It’s also a good idea to use items found at your preschool or home, as well as recycled materials.
By feeling differences in texture and temperature with the bottoms of their feet while playing, and by walking over the materials to brace themselves and maintain balance, children can also improve their motor skills.
Mr. Ant on an errand

How about a cute event perfect for preschools and kindergartens called “Little Ant Errand”? Waiting at the starting line are sweet treats that ants—and of course children—love.
Roll up newspaper and wrap it in plastic or paper to make oversized candies, cookies, and donuts.
Then, have the children put each treat into the box with the matching illustration and dash to the goal.
Cheer them on as they move forward, thinking, “Which treat is this?”
Flower arranging with everyone

Introducing a field day event that even very young children can enjoy: a collaborative flower arrangement race.
Prepare plenty of artificial flowers big enough for a child to hold in their arms.
Try making them in a variety of colors like yellow, red, and pink.
At “Ready, go!” the children run to the bouquet pile and each picks their favorite flower.
They then run with the flower, place it into an empty container at the far end of the course, arrange it nicely, and cross the finish line.
The rules are simple, and it’s a delightful event where you can see the children looking adorable as they play.
