Where’s my kid?

Where’s my kid?

I think a sports day gets more exciting when there are events with a strong element of luck.

So I’d like to introduce “Where’s My Kid?” The rules are very simple.

First, a child hides inside a large cardboard box.

The parent then has to find the box their child is hiding in, pick them up for a piggyback, and head for the finish line together.

It’s also fun to switch up the last part to something like a three-legged race.

Alternatively, you can have the parent hide instead of the child.

There are many possible variations, so it’s also great to let the kids come up with the rules themselves.

Sushi Picnic

I don’t dislike that quality. Mom loves youThey say it doesn't look like sushi once you sit down.Sports DayWe couldn’t do it this year.#Nursery school

You won’t be able to take your eyes off the kids’ adorable antics! Here are some ideas for a sushi-themed picnic.

Many people struggle to come up with food-themed events, right? In those moments, we recommend a “Sushi Picnic” that blends humor with cuteness.

Prepare boards with illustrations of about four types of sushi, and at the starting signal, have the kids flip a board.

Once they see which sushi topping is shown, they put on a backpack matching that topping and race toward the goal together with their guardian! Give it a try at your event.

Let’s work together to complete the mission! Emergency dispatch! Here are some ideas for a “Little Firefighters” activity.

Some children may dream of becoming firefighters, inspired by working vehicles or their admiration for the profession.

This time, let’s transform into firefighters and take part in a series of challenges.

Sports Day is a special event held once a year, and for the older children, it’s also their last one.

Take this opportunity to create memories with an event where children team up with their parents to clear missions.

Playing with various balls

Playing with various balls

Unique and fun! Here are a variety of beanbag-toss game ideas.

When you think of “tamaire,” many people probably picture tossing cloth balls into a high basket.

This time, let’s try some variations—like using a lower basket or aiming for the basket on the back of a running opponent.

With these twists on the traditional game, children are sure to get even more excited.

Defeat the pirates!

This is an event you can insert between more traditional programs to create a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere.

The teacher playing the pirate should be well disguised so their true identity isn’t revealed—that’s the key point of the performance.

Then, have everyone throw beanbag balls at the pirate and work together to defeat them.

Use the microphone to hype things up with lines like, “Let’s defeat the scary pirate!” and “Let’s all work together and do our best!” Hearing these prompts helps the children focus on the activity of grabbing and throwing the balls, so they can enjoy exercising while having fun.

Let’s deliver flavors of the world!

Turn the recipe cards and start cooking! Bring flavors from around the world! Here’s an idea to try.

Sports Day is a special event that happens once a year.

How about competing while learning about the world? Let’s have parents and children work together to make dishes from around the globe as they overcome items like hurdles and balance beams.

Through pretend play, you can create happy memories of joining a fun event together—making American hamburgers, Japanese osechi, Italian pizza, British sandwiches, and more.

Freshly picked fruit

Tomobe Kindergarten Sports Day Event Description No. 9: "Freshly Picked Fruits, Enjoy!"
Freshly picked fruit

Recommended from infant to preschool classes! Here’s an idea called “Freshly Picked Fruit.” How about incorporating familiar fruits—seen every day at lunch, in picture books, and in pretend play—into a game? Prepare a banana tree, a mandarin orange tree, an apple tree, and animal props (an elephant, a monkey, and a rabbit) with holes for mouths.

At the start signal, each child picks one fruit from any tree and moves forward.

Next, they choose an animal and place the fruit they’re holding into its mouth—then they reach the goal! Give it a try in your class.
