[Quiz] A Collection of Quizzes You Can Use in February Childcare

February brings severe cold, but many preschool and kindergarten teachers create activities themed around events like Setsubun and Valentine’s Day.

Reading picture books or using illustrations to introduce activities is wonderful, but what I’d like to introduce this time is a set of quizzes to enjoy in February.

In addition to Setsubun and Valentine’s Day, the quizzes also cover seasonal foods.

Let’s deepen children’s understanding of February in a fun way through quizzes!

Please make good use of these in your early childhood education setting!

Let’s align our feelings and find the answer together! Here’s an idea for a three-letter quiz.

Quizzes are often individual competitions, but the appeal of this idea is collaborating with friends to answer.

For example, a question like “What comes to mind when you think of something sweet?” might be asked.

What answer would you think of? Each person writes one letter on a piece of paper, and when your answers match, it feels like your bond grows stronger.

Give it a try at your next event! It’s also great to share hints with each other.

How many questions can you get right? Here’s an idea for a “What’s this picture book?” game.

In daycare, children encounter all kinds of picture books every day—teachers’ recommendations, personal favorites, friends’ favorites, and even books popular with the infant class.

This time, let’s hold a quiz tournament using the picture books at the daycare.

A nice bonus is that teachers can customize how they present the questions! It can also be a chance to nurture memory by seeing how well children remember the characters and stories.

Give it a try on this occasion.

In conclusion

We introduced some quizzes to enjoy in childcare during February.

There were probably lots of things even adults didn’t know.

Through these quizzes, we’d love to deepen children’s knowledge about February together.

Please use them to kick off activities or fill small gaps of time!
