Easy and secure! Cute kids’ hairstyles you can do using only hair ties (1–10)
A lazy pony you can do using only hair ties

Let’s try a cute, easy twist-through ponytail for a stylish, effortless look! Start with some styling product already in your hair.
Divide your hair roughly into three sections and clip the left and right sections out of the way.
Gather the middle section into a ponytail around earlobe height.
Then tie the left and right sections into small ponytails close to the middle one.
On the left section, create a vertical opening, cross the upper and lower parts of the hair, and pass the middle ponytail through the hollow.
Do the same on the right side, and for the final step, pass both the left and middle ponytails through together.
That’s it! Gently tug out small pieces of hair to add airy volume and make it even cuter.
Easy ribbon hair

Hair turns into a ribbon! Here’s a ribbon hairstyle you can do using just hair elastics.
As prep, brush your hair and apply a styling product.
Make two low pigtails, then split each pigtail into top and bottom sections.
About 10 cm from the base, tie the upper section with an elastic.
Do a topsy tail by flipping the tied section up through itself, then pull the lower section up through the loop you created.
Gently scrunch and lift the topsy-tail part to form a ribbon shape, then tie the two sections together.
Once you adjust the ribbon shape, you’re done—but braiding the remaining ends into three-strand braids will help the style last longer!
Braided bun hairstyleNEW!

For sports day hairstyles, ease of movement and staying in place are essential.
This time, we’re introducing a recommended style that checks both boxes: the braided bun.
By securing the hair firmly and incorporating braids, it looks more polished and festive than a simple bun.
It’s resistant to coming undone even when running or moving around to cheer, and it’s easy to wear a hat over it.
Gathering it at a not-too-high position reduces pressure, keeping you comfortable during long events.
It also keeps hair neatly away from the face, so sweat is less of a bother and it’s easier to focus on the competition.
Add ribbons or colorful hair ties to match your team colors and enjoy a coordinated look.

Even with short hair, you can keep it neat and secure with this “easy bob hairstyle.” Just tie it low into a single ponytail and fold the ends back to create a bun-like silhouette, giving a bob a voluminous look from the back.
Short strands that tend to fall out stay in place when gathered close to the roots, which helps the style hold and feel stable.
It’s designed to be worn with a cap, so it pairs perfectly with hats.
Gently pulling out a few strands around the ears or through the cap’s opening adds an effortless, lived-in finish, which is another appealing point.

Using ribbons from a 100-yen shop, here’s an easy hairstyle that balances comfort and cuteness.
Part the hair into two sections and tie them securely at a low position to create a sturdy base that won’t fall apart and makes it easy to wear a hat.
Flip each tied section inward from front to back (a topsy tail), then thread a ribbon hair tie through to add a touch of flair.
Next, divide each section into three and braid while weaving the ribbon through, so the ribbon peeks out between the braid’s stitches.
It’s cuter than a simple braid and makes the view from the back more eye-catching.
“I want to look cute at the sports day too!” This style makes that wish come true.

Here’s a simple hair arrangement using a long elastic that makes a basic ponytail look glamorous.
First, create a base ponytail, then add accents with the long elastic.
Aim for a cute finish by giving it ribbon-like dimension.
By varying the way you tie it, it becomes less likely to come undone, so you can feel secure even during an active sports day.
Furthermore, by splitting the hair bundle in half and braiding it while weaving in the elastic, you can elevate the style from simple to stylish.
It looks great from the back for photos, and it doesn’t get in the way even when wearing a hat, making it a great choice for those who want both functionality and fashion.

By combining braids with the “kuru-rinpa” flip-through technique, you create volume and a glamorous look from the back.
It also adds movement to the flow of the hair, making it highly photogenic.
Because the hair is firmly secured before styling, it’s less likely to come undone and allows smooth putting on and taking off of hats.
Even in high-activity sports, hair is less likely to fall into the face, making it practical and comfortable.
Adding ribbons or colored hair ties can change the vibe and can be adapted to match team colors.
Despite the simple steps, it looks great and is an easy hairstyle to do even on the day of the sports festival, so it’s highly recommended.
