soft serve ice cream

Let me show you how to fold a soft-serve ice cream that’s perfect for hot summer days.
Prepare two sheets of origami paper to make it.
For the cone, make firm creases as you fold.
The step where you inflate the paper and flatten it might be tricky, so take your time and fold along together with gentle guidance.
Align the creases to form the cone shape, and that part is complete.
For the soft-serve top, wrap the folded paper around a pencil to curl it and set the shape—this adds more depth and makes it look more eye-catching.
It’s also fun to try different colors of origami paper.
Sponge stamp ice cream

Let’s make ice cream using sponge stamps! First, take a sheet of drawing paper and dab the paint-covered stamp to create patterns.
You can use any colors you like.
Once the paint is dry, cut the paper into the shape of ice cream.
Cut brown construction paper into a cone shape, draw the cone pattern, and paste it onto a backing sheet.
Then stick the stamped ice cream on top of the cone, add patterns in the empty spaces with crayons, and you’re done! You can make several scoops and stack them to create two- or three-scoop ice cream, too.
Fluffy ice cream

Recommended when you want to make a three-dimensional piece! Here’s a fluffy ice cream idea.
Mix shaving foam with glue and a coloring agent to make foam.
Use a bit less glue than shaving foam to keep it fluffy.
Cut construction paper into a cone shape, draw a pattern, and attach it to the base.
Pile the foam on top of the cone to represent the ice cream, then add stickers or drawings in the blank spaces on the backing paper to finish.
Sprinkling powdered pastel on the foam as a topping might make it look pretty.
Ice Cream Kendama

Delicious ice cream turned into a kendama! Here’s a craft idea where, if you succeed at the kendama, it becomes an ice cream.
Draw a cone pattern on brown construction paper and mark the middle of either long side.
Align the end of a piece of kite string with the mark and tape it down, then roll the paper into a cone shape and secure it with tape.
It’s safer to tape down the stringed area as well.
Attach the other end of the kite string to the center of a sheet of newspaper with tape, and crumple the newspaper into a ball.
Cover it with your favorite color of origami paper from the top and secure it to make the ice cream part.
Draw patterns on the ice cream, and you’re done!
Playing ice-cream shop

Many children probably want to eat lots of ice cream in the summer! So why not make your own ice cream and play shop? Let the kids freely create their own ice creams—cup ice cream, cone ice cream, ice pops, and more.
Draw designs on paper cups to make the cups, and make the ice cream part by crumpling tissue paper and sticking small stickers on it.
For the cones, draw patterns on construction paper, roll it into a cone shape, and secure it.
Collage Ice Cream

Here are some ice cream craft ideas that also let you enjoy making collages.
Cut the cup or cone bases out of cardboard, then decorate them by drawing patterns with pens or using colored paper.
For the ice cream scoops, basically cut circles out of construction paper, and have fun adding various toppings with small pieces of colored paper or stickers.
It’s also cute to make “collage ice cream” by gluing torn newspaper or flyers onto the round paper scoops.
Once your ice cream is done, attach it to the base to finish.
cream soda
@sachimama_asobi Let’s make a retro-cute cream soda! ❤️ 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 Fizzy fizzy~ ✨ Don’t you crave cream soda in the hot summer? 🥰 It feels like there aren’t many places selling cream soda these days… But I absolutely love it! ❤️ Today I made a cream soda out of origami! I used white round stickers to represent the soda bubbles, but if you don’t have them, drawing circles with a white crayon or pen will give a soda vibe too 🙌 There are a few steps for the straw and cherry, but it’s very easy to make, so please give it a try! +——————————————+ I’m Sachi-mama, currently raising three rambunctious boys ages 7, 5, and 1 ❀´- I share play ideas and simple crafts with kids using 100-yen items, nature finds, and recycled materials. Let’s make a summery cream soda with origami.
Prepare one large sheet of origami paper, three small sheets, and some round stickers.
For the drink portion, fold the large sheet horizontally, then shape it evenly on both the left and right sides as you adjust the paper.
Cut a small sheet into quarters to make the cherry fruit and the cherry stem.
Once finished, attach them to the cream soda.
Finally, take one small sheet, offset-fold it into a triangle, and roll it to create a straw.
Give this delicious-looking cream soda a try!
